    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

Time to get on the stick, Mr. Orr.  It is noted that you all are Democrats still calling the shots within the Utopian downward spiral.

Oh, and George, I got your Race Card℗ hanging for you - right here.

Be proud of yourself, City of Detoilet. You demonstrate again there are 13,259 bona fide Useful Idiots.

What better scenario could possibly happen for Unapologetic Conservatives, other than to have an East coast thug who strong-armed his way to chair the Republican Governors Association, flitting about The Mitten campaigning for the Nerd?

Please visit I'm a man! I'm 41! for reason why Christie is useful.

Folks, it's all about transparency, of which, as like with Christie, Rick Snyder's self-invented nerd persona is anything but transparent.

I suppose the exit question should be: will the Boobus Michiganderus voters swallow a second term of Snyder abuse?

A Message To Our Legislators - Beware False Choices

    Sweet Deal

All the perks, but none of the responsibility.

Apparently, its good to be Andy Dillon.  At least in terms of taking home a nice fat government sized paycheck. Snyder appointed the former top house Democrat, (remember this) Andy Dillon to the Michigan's top money collecting position in 2011, raising a few eyebrows from Republicans. In October of 2013, personal issues caused him to resign the six figure salaried position, again raising eyebrows; this time curious as to where he might end up.

Assisting and advising the incoming treasurer was expected, but apparently its still going on, and its like he never left:

"Dillon is being paid about $174,000 a year -- the same salary he received when he was treasurer.

State Democrats believe Michiganders should be reimbursed.

"Maybe in Rick Snyder's world it's okay to pay people not to work while giving outrageous bonuses to investment fund managers, but that's not the Michigan way," said Michigan Democratic Party Chair Lon Johnson in a media release. "Rick Snyder and Andy Dillon should repay taxpayers for the money that Dillon was paid not to work. The people of Michigan have a right to expect that taxpayer resources will be used to build a stronger middle class, not to pay off political cronies." "

    What what what?

First off Mr Johnson, it was YOUR wife who raised nearly a $billion to fund the 'Chicago Way' which was brought nationwide. Secondly, Dillon is one of your guys.

Send Julianna over to his crib with a pledge card for Mark.

He could use the company anyhow.

$18.7M of DPS Emergency Manager Red Ink

This is the problem with every aspect of the public sector - those in it - they all try to grow it.

The cash-strapped Detroit Public Schools racked up an additional $18.7 million in debt from July through September after its plan to boost enrollment failed, and it spent above budgeted amounts on security, transportation and maintenance.
    ....

The largest school district in the state, DPS had 300,000 students in the mid-1960s. After decades of steep enrollment  drops, demographers told DPS as it prepared its 2013-14 budget in June to expect another enrollment drop of 5,000 students and to budget for 46,000 students.

Instead, the district announced it would [try to] attract 5,000 new students, for a total of 51,000, and approved a budget of $687 million.

Financial experts said that was DPS's biggest mistake.

Conway said he struggled to understand DPS' decision to budget an increase in students and revenues when the city is in decline. "You just added to the pile of debt," he said. "You are building a bigger mountain to climb."

No, Mr. Conway.  Government has force of confiscation (taxes) at it's disposal so, it, the employed bureaucrat layers of Ineptocracy, then becomes too big to fail through parasitic consent.

    The Daily Dillon

This is a sorta fun development for Conservatives watching what the Snyder administration has placed into its own lap.  Remember what Terry Stanton (same office of Amy Hichez) stated about our Treasury Dept., just yesterday?

"Any personal issues he is working through have not, in any way, affected his performance as State Treasurer."

Pure Bee-esS.  Meet current Treasury Department "Executive Assistant," and former Dillon House staffer ($56,000.00), Amy U. Hichez.

State Treasurer Andy Dillon's secretary sued his ex-wife for defamation Wednesday for claiming she had an affair with her boss.

In a lawsuit filed in Wayne County Circuit Court, Amy U. Hichez denied having an affair with Andy Dillon - allegations Carol Owens-Dillon publicly leveled in a July 7 posting on her Facebook page.
    ....

Owens-Dillon stood by the allegations Wednesday.

"I'm surprised she is doing this because she will be putting her boss negatively in the press and I'm quite sure he doesn't need that," Owens-Dillon said in a statement to The News.

Indeed.  What further defamation is possible with those who sit in government with Andy and his buddy, Miles Handy?  Yet, much like Hillary Clinton, and Huma Abedin, the slovenly attired self-invented Nerd persona is going to stand by his man.  Frillant move for the Executive branch of state government that is the flagship of the MI-GOP.

That down-ticket vote for "Team R" will suffer in 2014.  That is just a 'No boundaries' Rick Michigan, enabling - fact.
