This is a sorta fun development for Conservatives watching what the Snyder administration has placed into its own lap. Remember what Terry Stanton (same office of Amy Hichez) stated about our Treasury Dept., just yesterday?
"Any personal issues he is working through have not, in any way, affected his performance as State Treasurer." Pure Bee-esS. Meet current Treasury Department "Executive Assistant," and former Dillon House staffer ($56,000.00), Amy U. Hichez.
State Treasurer Andy Dillon's secretary sued his ex-wife for defamation Wednesday for claiming she had an affair with her boss. Indeed. What further defamation is possible with those who sit in government with Andy and his buddy, Miles Handy? Yet, much like Hillary Clinton, and Huma Abedin, the slovenly attired self-invented Nerd persona is going to stand by his man. Frillant move for the Executive branch of state government that is the flagship of the MI-GOP. That down-ticket vote for "Team R" will suffer in 2014. That is just a 'No boundaries' Rick Michigan, enabling - fact. (1 comment) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Germans have the coolest words for such things involving the Rick Snyder experiment. For example, take the self-invented Nerd persona's selection for state Treasurer.
Pure Schadenfreude.
Dillon has acknowledged a bout with alcoholism while being the governor's point man for handling financially distressed cities and school districts. Again, zero transparency from Rick Snyder. Sure Dave Murray, we little people "believe" you too. Just try boozing as a "point man" in the Private Sector, and see how long it takes to be shown the door. And, this is a so-called Executive's decision? Amazing. Fact remains that Rick Snyder owns that appointment, and isn't man enough to deal with his can of worms - but, he'll have to before long. There's more...
"Treasurer Dillon is in the office and on the job every day, working diligently as always for the people of the State of Michigan," spokesman Terry Stanton said in an email. "Any personal issues he is working through have not, in any way, affected his performance as State Treasurer." 12 years of taxpayer funded professional turd polishing just can't be wrong, yes? Survey says...
A Wayne County Family Court judge has issued a mutual restraining order against Dillon and his ex-wife after they filed competing personal protection orders against each other. D'oh! Really. Who could've foreseen the years of dysfunction that Andy Dillon, would bring to an alleged Republican administration? Hmmm, I wonder... The Preezy of the United Steezy want's you to get your corrupt Wayne Co buffoon under control before he costs Debbie Dingell, a Senate election. Remember Lon, Debbie and Bob King pulled a lot of strings to place you where you're at as MDP chair.
C'mon, a former Wayne Co Sheriff (1983-2000) needing multiple drivers under the guise of "personal protection"? Hackel doesn't. Really Ficano, exactly how dumb do you think everyone who is watching you could be? (1 comment) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
The Preezy of the United Steezy want's you to get your CD-5 buffoon under control.
At a closed-door meeting between President Barack Obama and House Democrats, Kildee introduced himself as a freshman, to which Obama said, "Wow, you're really classing up the place then." Oops. (1 comment) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Another Hoffa lives in denial of his thug legacy.
"We're trying to keep my grandfather's reputation back where it belongs," said his grandson, Geoffrey Hoffa, a physician assistant in Arizona. "Most people hear the name Jimmy Hoffa and have a negative image. They hear the Letterman jokes. It's a shame that people don't know more about what James R. Hoffa did and that he always stood up for the underdog." I wonder why the negative image keeps coming up when Hoffa is mentioned...
Underdogs? They're called goonions for a reason, Geoffrey. It's also why Chicago/White House thuggery comes home to roost with the Johnson/Smoot MDP leadership infighting. (1 comment) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
Michigan Senate majority leader Randy Richardville has no friends in the MEA. While attempting to walk the fence line between "I'm a Republican" and "I don't want labor unions mad at me", Randy Richardville is finding himself targeted by the latter with rotten tomatoes and old shoes like a singing tomcat on that fence.
The MEA would toss them at anyone.
Self serving labor organizations (are there any others?) have no friends outside of their official ranks. Those high paying union jobs (not those of the teachers, etc) and top management positions require careful farming of available taxpayer provided resources. In fact, a 2009 report by Paul Kersey at the Mackinac center shows its overhead and operating is TWICE what the bargaining costs: MEA is a bloated organization. According to our calculations, 25.6 percent of the union's budget went to representation, compared to 57.3 percent for overhead. This is actually an improvement from the 2006-2007 report, which showed just 22 percent going to representation. Nevertheless, MEA still spends more than twice as much on overhead than it does on representing teachers. That's the exact opposite of what one would find in reasonably well-run non-profit. Those folks making high dollars as seen in the actual financial statement for the MEA have good reason to protect it. They are certainly "forward looking" folks who, at least for themselves are looking at their giant pensions being affected by the Snyder pension loopholes being changed. So they had to respond, and the Tomcat on the fence as I pointed out, stands out in full contrast to the moon's glow. The worn soles are flying, and the MEA is tossing them. By attempting to recall the majority leader Richardville and others: The Monroe resident leading the recall drive against Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville said the Michigan Education Association notified him today the teachers union will support the effort. Except there may be a problem. More Below ~ (4 comments, 792 words in story) Full Story By JGillman, Section News
Many of you have seen the way in which many of the labor unions which do business in Michigan are teaming up and holding their own rallies in small to medium sized towns, but you may might not be sure exactly what is being said unless you go to one.
Our small group of perhaps 50 folks demonstrated for Right To Work outside the entrance of a rally in Petoskey on Sunday. While we held our ground outdoors, the teachers and other members of labor units attended one of these unification rallies inside. And even with a strong constitution, the thought of attending the emotion ginning affairs might be tough. Try holding your lunch while listening to old mobsters try to explain to the younger new union members that they have to be more aggressive, and stick together (to do something illegal). Listen to the custodian mom who has been getting dragged to each of these affairs because she is worried about her job, with the new legislation mandating bid process for off-education activities.
The tour of Michigan towns and villages according to our infiltrator at the Petoskey pro-union rally are getting mixed signals, and our message while standing outside the entrance to the event was perhaps internalized a little. People want the right to work in Michigan. When did we have to start asking permission? For the custodian mom, she is sure her job will be contracted out. She may well really think so, but the attendees are being done a disservice by the labor handlers of hers not also mentioning that her union could bid as well, taking a more entrepreneurial role. Hmmm, "entrepreneurial role" ... where have I seen THAT before? But I digress.. More as I have time through the day. (3 comments) Comments >> |
