The Republican Majority in Lansing, has nothing better to do other than figuring out ways to screw the people of Michigan out of another $5.
Passed 74 to 33 in the House on October 3, 2013, to mandate that vehicle owners must replace their license plate after 10 years, even if it is still legible. Under current law the state imposes a $5 extra charge to replace a plate. (158 words in story) Full Story By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Because, Rick Michigan can't print money...
So happy to vote this loser out in '14. The above ^ is what's wrong with America and the GOP. (3 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Leave it to SE Michigan's Moscow on the Huron to go the way of control freak Mayor Doomberg.
University of Michigan Health System and the University of Michigan Medical School will no longer peddle sugary drinks in their cafeterias and vending machines, banning the sale of everything from sodas to sweetened coffees. And when U of M's "effort" does not include the use of my tax dollars, they are free to do whatever the Hell they want.
But several other efforts to reduce access have bred backlash for going to far to restrict personal choice. Courts have ruled that New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's push to ban the sale of sugary drinks in containers larger than 16 ounces was illegal. The Left is "pro choice" when comes to killing babies and Teh Ghey marriage. Have a soft drink? Forgettaboutit. All those mentally ill cretins are fully deserving to be mocked.
That babe ^ is still the Big Gulp of Truth. By KG One, Section News
A few days ago, the story was brought up mentioning Slick Rick's "N.E.R.D." Fund paying the expenses of a certain EM, in a certain Democratic Stronghold.
At the time, this didn't really make a whole lot of sense. Sure people make donations to charity all of the time. They usually do this for altruistic reasons. Sometimes they simply do it for good PR. But in Detroit this didn't make any sense whatsoever. There really wasn't anything to be gained from this action (especially doing it secretly)
Until now that is. (480 words in story) Full Story By Corinthian Scales, Section News
I've always held a fondness for Republican Michigander. Decent young man. Believes in what he does. I respect that. Do we always see eye-to-eye? Hell no. That's OK. It'd be boring otherwise. What's all the lead in about, CS? Glad you ask. I just took a yonder over to Dan's blog, and dammit, principle prevails from Dan, again.
Full disclosure. I'm not a tea party guy. I'm not an anti tea party guy. Sometimes I agree with various tea party individuals and sometimes I am in opposition. I want to make that clear. That's a fair shake on the BS Rube Goldberg straw poll. Good assessment, Dan. The chattering class handling the incumbents are scrambling. Circle them wagons, boys - the taxpayers are awakening! Look, it's no secret to anyone that Brian Calley is the biggest joke in town if trying to paint him as a Conservative voice on the "Nerdy Ticket" to bigger government and higher taxes. C'mon folks, a contrived straw poll from this jagoff? AYFKM? Besides, even the late Ray Charles could see Strat Nat pulling strings from behind the curtain. Tacky. Yessirree. It is said that bullsh!t sells but, who's buying it anymore? Not I. Good luck with that, Nerdy ticket... (5 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
In the video below, I see Sen. Bob Corker, however, if one listens closely, all you'll hear is ousted Party Committeeman, and NPV lobbyist, Saul Anuzis embarrass himself debating a principled Conservative.
Thank you, Sen. Ted Cruz! Keep exposing all the duplicitous dregs taking refuge in the GOP Big Tent for what they truly are - spineless, pandering, Democrat-lite Progressives. (1 comment) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Get a load of the entitlement mentality on these two cake eaters.
AYFKM? No, you slippery crony capitalist big government Progressive. You work for me Nerd-boy, and I trust your smarmy, perpetual stealth-mode Ann Arborness as far as I can throw my house over your boondoggle DRIC bridge. And, dig the chops on the retained mouthpiece.
"I pay my travel out of pocket every week, I pay my parking, I don't expense mileage. It's cost me tens of thousands of dollars, personally," said Kevyn Orr. Hey, stupid, for starters Kevyn, you already got caught in a lie. Not a smart Bankruptcy shyster. Kevyn accepted the job (with extravagant perks), and please do tell us what other forms of employment covers the tab for any out of state residency? It didn't fly at Ford Motor when Channel 7's Steve Wilson exposed Mark Fields weekly trips home to Florida, to avoid Michigan's Income Tax. The Governerd likes to play government is a business, well, the Public Sector don't dig that sh!t - bad business image. Alan Mulally ate crow ...and, the li'l "Rock and Roll" Executive's corporate Gulfstream went buh-bye. Tho, Fields did keep the Mullet. The alleged Republican Party Nerd? Slick Rick blunders on as if it's none of the public's business. THAT'S "customer service," baby! (2 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
To paraphrase Mitt Romney, "Corporations are pandering Liberals, my friend."
AYFKM? Witness ^ my last Starbucks coffee - ever. Yannow, I've always had a complete disdain for Jews like Howard Schultz who have less than total support for our Right to keep and bear arms. It is based in good reason. As they say, all politics is local. Not to mention how quickly history goes ignored by the Schultz's, Bloomberg's, and Feinstein's in this nation. Unscrupulous bastards.
