Remember folks, Rick Snyder wants youth enslaved to this Federal dumbing-down agenda.
"I think the Common Core is a really important opportunity, and I think it's a good thing," Snyder said Monday in Detroit, where he was joined by U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan. "Unfortunately, it's been too much about politics. Too many people in our country ... are looking to fight someone for the sake of fighting." One Term Nerd By KG One, Section Multimedia
Just something to mull over in the days leading up to the upcoming approval of Medicaid Expansion in the Michigan Senate later this month.
With the guv being the stalwart number cruncher he is, what better way is there to help contain patient costs after the federal government begins to scale back its "contribution", then by containing the number of patients your new entitlement will cover? Think Sections 3403 and 10320 in the PPACA. Of course, it does play hell with the voting rolls. But they have already lived a long and good life anyway. Gotta look at the larger picture and keep those overall costs down!

DTE Energy is moving forward with a plan to allow customers to opt out of using high-tech "smart meters" to monitor energy consumption in their homes. But the program could cost residents as much as an additional $180 a year. Jeez, thanks for sitting on HB 5411, Speaker Bolger! I guess this now allows one way for DTE to sidestep calling a rate hike. More to consider below. (3 comments, 255 words in story) Full Story |
