  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

"...balance their budget based on what's actually in their checkbook not what they wish was there."

After replacing the MBT with a State Income Tax Hike, plundering retirees pensions, cutting the Homestead Tax Credit, electioneering with Democrats, continuing to gift illegal aliens over $900M annually, and passing Obamacare Snydercaid, the guy I see in the propaganda video above is the best argument presented for a Part-time State Legislature.

Go work on growing your second chin, Jase.  Like Snyder, you're the problem.

Governor Snyder's plan to hit up Michigan Taxpayers for more of their money isn't looking very promising.

Just last week, Rep. Gilbert's bill to shake down pensioners; HB 4480, JUST cleared the Michigan House 56-53 and moved over to the Michigan Senate.

This week, things just got a little more interesting.

It's the day after Easter.  If you're like me, yesterday featured some awesome family time, a trip to church (for many of you, the only time this year... shame!) since, you know, all that Jesus conquering death stuff is sort of important to this particular holiday, and heaping helpings of chocolate and jelly beans.

Because apparently rabbit shaped confections are also important to this particular holiday.

After a day like that there's little more I'd like to do this morning than revel in the realization that He is Risen (!), enjoy the fact that I've been blessed with an awesome family and roll around on the ground like a dying bear as I battle mightily to digest the giant ball of sugar currently sitting like a rock in the pit of my stomach.

Alas.  That would be too easy.  Can't even browse the morning's headlines without being shaken violently back to the reality of John Cherry's vision for Michigan.

Two new tax-hike schemes in one morning?  Say it ain't so!
