Senator Casperson placed before the committee Senate Bill 59 (Sen. Green). Senator Casperson announced that there was a substitute for SB 59 for consideration. Senator Green testified in explanation of the bill and substitute, and answered questions from the committee members.

Senator Warren left the committee room at 9:25 a.m.

Also, note all the college students from the many different campuses who don't want to be just another statistic of the Governerd's Defenseless Victim Zones.  Yes, Rick Snyder officially owns every assault, rape, and/or murder that happens on them.  That is not a Republican value I will vote for come 2014, no matter who runs against Snyder.

And, Mike... liar, liar, pants on fire.

2nd Amendment

Sheriff Mike Bouchard is a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment. He is a long-time NRA member, a gun owner, and an avid hunter, and believes in the U.S. Constitution and the protection of our individual rights.

Mike has bravely defended his community and our 2nd Amendment constitutional rights for over 23 years as a police officer, legislator, and now as Sheriff of Oakland County.

He has received "A" ratings and endorsements from the NRA and the Michigan Coalition of Responsible Gun Owners in each of his previous elections, and he continues to fight for sportsmen's rights across the state, including designing and implementing a streamlined process allowing Oakland County to issue more Concealed Pistol License than any other county in Michigan.

All proven to out be absolute hogwash as I long ago suspected it would.  It took time, but it's true as Bouchard is the only Sheriff in the state on record opposing SB 59.  What a sad, finger-wetting windsock, hypocrite disgrace that Oakland County has chosen for its Sheriff.

Here is what Sheriff Bourchard, tells his constituents to do - it's to cower, take a deep breath of Obama Hopium, and wait for your slaughter.  Not a joke.  If trapped this is your suggested defense.

As a very last resort, and only when your life is in imminent danger, attempt to disrupt and/or incapacitate the active shooter by:

• Acting as aggressively as possible against him/her
  
• Throwing items and improvising weapons
  
• Yelling
  
• Committing to your actions

What?  No throwing soiled undergarments on that prescribed defense, Mike?  Maybe that is what his second bullet point is.
