Tag: Medicaid expansionBy JGillman, Section News
One of the major reasons used for justifying medicaid expansion in Michigan was that too many were using the hospital emergency rooms, rather than using a regular doctor.
If fact, during the building expansion debate in 2013, Michigan's Governor Rick Snyder claimed as much: "Currently, Snyder says we are funding the Emergency room visits of those without coverage through our increased insurance fees. He believes it would save money to send them to doctors opposed to the Emergency room.Huh, I guess he was wrong. At least as is being reported in the Detroit News (and in a million other [surprised] outlets) he was: " A new study has found that people enrolled recently in Medicaid went to the emergency room 40 percent more frequently than others, often seeking help for conditions that could be treated less expensively in a doctor's office or an urgent care clinic."And there you go. And it wasn't as if there was no warning. It wasn't as if there was no one talking about an increase in Medicaid use, coupled with a reduction of Doctors to handle such things. Sorry Charlie, err, Joshua, however, besides same last names, you two do have the same stench.
Last week, following offensive comments about LGBT Hate speech my ass, signed Wolverine. Furthermore, if the Ann Arbor Nerd wasn't such a flaming Progressive surrounding himself in Obama funding secrecy, his answer for Medicaid Expansion would have also been, "I'm not getting into that." Every stupid thing on The Left has become an ongoing distraction from reality.

Benjamin Disraeli might say "Damn your principles! Stick to your party."
In Michigan, many might agree. So much so, or in a way to retain some political control or power over others. But Dwight Eisenhower would reply: "A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both." Because power is money. Money is power but Ralph Waldo Emerson would note that : "A man is usually more careful of his money than he is of his principles." Indeed. Expanded Medicaid's fine print holds surprise: 'payback' from estate after death All the way from One Big Ass Mistake America, to Vote, No Vacation Snyder and his faux-conservative Gen Xer toadie - the Mitten State is screwed. By JGillman, Section News
To both Republicans and Democrats who have taken a step to protect freedom of conscience today.
Praise when something is done right is appropriate. Employers will no longer be forced to provide 'abortion coverage' in their insurance policies. "The Republican-controlled Legislature on Wednesday approved a voter-initiated law that would prohibit basic health insurance plans from covering abortions and avoid a veto by Gov. Rick Snyder. Its a shame that such a common sense effort had to done through citizen initiative because of a Governor who has no respect for tax payer freedom of conscience. I truly hope that Michigan Right To Life remembers how unnecessarily hard they had to work to get this done. One Term Nerd. (3 comments) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
Only the perpetually stupid could continue to ignore this.
The unapologetic praise for a system that holds no chance of meeting promises made and already broken, is continuing unabated. The use of the term Obamacare as an endearing term, instead of the official title "Affordable Care Act." Appropriately connecting the dots from Obamacare to Medicaid expansion; a feat that be performed only with enablers and collaborators in our State Senate and House. When the bleeding edge of the socialist/fascist movement in this country praises our governor for expanding welfare; a move that promises to explode in our face in 3 years time? Yet losing the seat to a Democrat is the fear that would keep cowardly Republicans voting for Rick Snyder? Could anyone remind us all here why his winning really matters again? Twitiot of the day.
Justin Amash How do you like them apples, Wes Nakagiri? TEA folk? Yessirree, 'ol constitutional Justin just face-wedgied all those opposing Snyder's Obamacare Medicaid Expansion by palling around with the deciding vote. Yannow, I had planned on doing a flattering writeup on the 5 U.S. Reps from Michigan, who signed a commitment to defund Obamacare but, with this loosely wrapped clown from CD-3 working with the Snyder administration to backdoor Obamacare entanglements in this state - screw Justin. At least I know Camp, Miller, Rogers, and Upton, will never be Conservative, unlike that all over the map Amash Liberaltarian Bee-esS. (1 comment) Comments >>
