Expanding on the theme of "If you are going to take time to craft a holiday message, at least have the decency to recognize why."
Unafraid to use their official positions to recognize that the holidays exist for a reason, the following state executives stepped up and named them. Typically accessed from their government pages, and some referenced from social media, here are some more non PC greetings sure to offend the freaks of progressivism. Alaska's governor Sean Parnell has traditionally had a Christmas Video out. The newest expected anytime now. Titled "Seasons Greetings," Indiana governor Mike Pence uses "Christmas" no fewer than 6 times in three full paragraphs. Add a "Blessing" or two, and we Definitely get the message! Florida's Rick Scott posts a "Christmas" message celebrating ".. a time to celebrate the blessings that are bestowed upon us and the birth of our Lord." My Goodness, Wyoming's SOS has "Merry Christmas" and a story to go with it right up on the state's website. The Governor, Matt Mead even posts an audio "Merry Christmas."
Maine Governor Paul LePage also posts an audio "Christmas" message for Mainers (2 comments, 359 words in story) Full Story By Corinthian Scales, Section News
I totally get the current political landscape within the MIaGoPC'd, and the androgynous couple below is pandering to the GLAAD crowd like they think they're slick CEO's shooting fish in a Cracker Barrel but, "happy holidays"?

Sorry Charlie, err, Joshua, however, besides same last names, you two do have the same stench.
Last week, following offensive comments about LGBT Hate speech my ass, signed Wolverine. Furthermore, if the Ann Arbor Nerd wasn't such a flaming Progressive surrounding himself in Obama funding secrecy, his answer for Medicaid Expansion would have also been, "I'm not getting into that." Every stupid thing on The Left has become an ongoing distraction from reality.
H/t Market Ticker Sit and spin on that one, Mr. deflector of communications for the Michigan Democratic Party. By JGillman, Section News
He picked the wrong side of the argument once again.
Saul Anuzis former RNC committeeman still has it in for the man who replaced him, OR he really does like promotion of homosexuality, and that which it carries in its side car. Either way, he has made his bed with Dennis Lennox, and other young progressives in the party who wish to pander to the baser instincts of the forbidden fruits. But ignoring the results of such pandering and adjustment of social conscience to the legal protections we afford our youth is some bad Juju. Just ask prosecutors in Florida: "The case involves Kaitlyn Ashley Hunt, an 18-year-old in Sebastian, Florida, who was arrested in February after admitting that she had a lesbian affair with a 14-year high-school freshman. .. It is a felony in Florida to have sex with 14-year-olds. Hunt was expelled from Sebastian High School -- where she and the younger girl had sex in a restroom stall -- and charged with two counts of "felony lewd and lascivious battery on a child." The charges could put Hunt in prison for up to 15 years. ..Rules, right? Rules mean NOTHING when reason is toppled. In the above case, we see the natural progress of 'political correctness.'
And Saul's effort to vilify his esteemed replacement relies on just that method. By contextually abusing comments of Ronald Reagan, and confusing actual bigotry with a conscious disassociation to unhealthy lifestyles, he is solidifying his support for unhealthy, and nontraditional physical relationships. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels wrote in The Communist Manifesto of their plan for the "abolition of the family," to "replace home education by social" or public schools, and to replace monogamy with "an openly legalized community of women" (sharing women in common). Nothing like a bunch of Patriotic Americans showing up on their Hogs at a muzzie party. By JGillman, Section News
Hit me.
I mean it. If ever I get so self centered with my writing that I make the left turn towards apologizing for the actions of my fellow Republicans, whack me upside the head. Particularly when it is for behaving like Republicans. Particularly on issues that go further into the book than a simple cover. Hit me if I ever write stuff like this:
"But Michigan Republican can't seem to stop there, largely because they have a determined constituency of social conservatives and angry knee-jerkers who want what they want, regardless of whether it accomplishes anything. So along with the economic changes the state badly needs, we get proposals to mandating the Pledge of Allegiance, drug-testing welfare recipients, and banning domestic partner benefits for some public employees." Regardless if it accomplishes anything? Of course it accomplishes something. In fact, when looking at drug testing for welfare, does it not encourage those who wish to receive assistance, to take a little ownership of their situation? At the very least they can transform themselves into non drug abusing recipients, and at best it might encourage them to seek help and social redemption. "Umm sorry we won, Mm-k you poor Dems? Like I apologize for all the extremism my friends are going to unleash, all right?" Never heard of 'hard love' I guess, huh? Of course, never mind. The key to mom's door is still under the ceramic frog .. just in case.

Most would consider Henry Payne at the Michigan View as a pretty good guy. I would say he could even be considered "conservative" and most of his positions would justify that. Most often we could agree in fact with what his opinion of the day might be.
But sometimes he is wrong. Straight out, absolutely mistaken.
Today Payne opines: " ... Not to be outdone, the Right's religious crazies decided to attack The Learning Channel and its advertisers for airing a positive show about five American Muslim families in Dearborn. No, not making it up, but so what? And frankly what makes them crazy? Because they are religious? Or because they perceive a threat from Islam; "the Religion of Peace?" I would really be interested in what it is about those Christian crazies that threatens Mr Payne. Certainly not that they will blow up a plane that he is on with shoe based incendiaries, or crotch explosives. Undoubtedly not a collision with a Tower at an unfortunate time. Probably not a soldier opening fire on his brothers and screaming "Jesus Akbar!!" Perhaps, just maybe, it is those crazy values like free speech and intelligent consideration of real and ongoing threats? Threats backed up by recurring "man-made disasters?" Maybe it stems from the very real fear people have of saying "Merry Christmas" during this time of year? Below ~ (29 comments, 1049 words in story) Full Story
