To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.
Some tips:
Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.
In the video below, I see Sen. Bob Corker, however, if one listens closely, all you'll hear is ousted Party Committeeman, and NPV lobbyist, Saul Anuzis embarrass himself debating a principled Conservative.
Thank you, Sen. Ted Cruz! Keep exposing all the duplicitous dregs taking refuge in the GOP Big Tent for what they truly are - spineless, pandering, Democrat-lite Progressives.
Yannow, between the Governerd surrounding himself with a deadbeat Treasurer, and a Medicaid billing mooslime responsible for at least one death now dumping $25K into the One Tough Nerd PAC<cough>HB 4714</cough>, all one has to do is sit back and watch "Rick Michigan" implode all on his own. Damn good thing you're getting your monies upfront, young Johnny.
Was away from everything news related for the past few days, and not to be surprised with my return to an interesting blurb in mLive the other day (Nope. Not linking to them) that it is still SSDD in the sociopathic world of politics.
"The emergency manager has met with the White House and members of the state's congressional delegation, and these meetings focused on how the federal government can assist in Detroit's restructuring," said Orr's spokesperson Bill Nowling in an email message. "At each of those meetings it was made clear that a federal bailout is not a possibility."
Let that sink in.
Nobody is interested in bailing out LBJ's "model city" Detroit. N-O-B-O-D-Y. Sure, the Congressional Black Caucus has gone whining to race-baiter-in-chief, president Odowngrade², with JoAnn's "bring home some bacon" meme, but that narrative is as common as the sun rising in the East. Besides, preezy Soetoro's agenda is already booked with making this entire nation look like Detoilet, so, how in the Hell can he bail out Detoilet? Barry can't. All of D.C. knows that bailing out Detoilet is opening Pandora's box. Think Killadelphia isn't just around the corner on going teats up? Think again. It is poison for the Democratic Socialist Party in 2014 as much as implementing Obummercare is, and completely lethal for Hillary PUMA's in 2016. Don't even go there about BJ and Mrs. Secretary Benghazi - they know damn well they've got damage control issues on their hands.
However, click on the Full Story button. I want you all to meet a very real-life Charlie Gordon character from Daniel Keyes' award winning short story.
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go
I owe my soul to the Government store
The state of Michigan will soon allow companies, organizations and communities to use the popular "Pure Michigan" branding in joint advertising and marketing.
....
"We will create customized 'Pure Michigan' advertising campaigns centered around clusters of business that we have in the state," Finney [MEDC] said. "You could take automotive, or you could take dairy [Subsidized], or you could take other agricultural products [Subsidized too, even The Dead], or software and we'll create customizable opportunities for companies to actively participate in the campaign."
The move is an extension of what the state has done with the tourism industry, where it has worked with about 50 partners to jointly advertise cities and tourist attractions such as The Henry Ford [501(c)(3) Tax Exempt] in Dearborn, Finney said. In those cases, the state [all taxpayers] and the entitiessplit the costs for the creative advertising, he said.
...and that government of choosing the people, over the people, forking the people, shall not parish from Lansing, nor D.C.
Usually a video diversion, however, today y'all's get some reading.
A Schizophrenic Elephant
(Excerpt)
Every now and then, a Republican Party leader must feel tempted to stand up and say. "Folks, you've got us wrong. We don't really stand for any of the things that you think we do. We like small business, in theory. But we like big business more. That's about all we have in common. Also we're still against Communism, not that it matters anymore. But we're fine with having a lot of government agencies. We created most of them. And we like abortion and gay rights. We're also on board with Global Warming, illegal immigration and some international law."
That rarely happens. It rarely happens because that Republican Party is the one that was nearly consigned to oblivion in the first half of the last century. And as the Romney campaign showed, running on a platform of nothing but big business is not very inspiring. If Romney had actually been honest about his views, instead of dressing them up to win the primaries, he would have done even worse in the general election.
Personally, outside of Sen. Ted Cruz, maybe a couple others in the House, and the Sarahcuda dabbling around the fringe of GOP, I don't see it as worth saving.
