  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

The Nerd is sounding more like Obama by the day.

For the appropriate response in its entirety, CLICK HERE.

First, let's have some facts, shall we?  There are 12,385,000 more people of working age (16-64, inclusive) today than there were in September of 2008.  America is not suffering from a contracting workforce.

    Period.

And, Snyder you Progressive snake, enough of the revisionist history about the Dow family of Connecticut.

SB 280: Pop Goes the Weasel

    By Corinthian Scales, Section News

Tags: SB 280, Rick Snyder, The Flim-Flam Man, Pay up Suckers, U of M cronies, Big Ed, Progressives, Student debt, STEM Amnesty, Foreign National Job Preference, H-1B Visas, EB-5 Citizenship, Cheap Labor, Underemployment, Obamacare, Medicare Expansion, Who Profits?, Follow the money, Ardesta, Stem Cell Research, Discera, ChiComs, MEDC, One Tough Nerd PAC, SB 59 Veto, Gas Tax, Sales Tax, Internet Sales Tax, Pension Tax, Homestead Property Tax Credit, MIaGOP, One Term Nerd (all tags)

Because the weasel needs a good popping.  Unfortunate for the majority in Lansing, however, the House, and Senate Republicans are learning the hard lesson taught when ignoring their Party Platform, Constitution limits, and bowing to a limousine liberal Corporatist Ann Arbor Nerd.

"Since it's tax season, I've had a huge amount of calls from my constituents when they find out what their tax liability is," Jones told MLive on Thursday. "I think it's extremely unfair when people have planned their life for their retirement and then suddenly, in the midst of their retirement, they get a new tax."

Senate Bill 280 is co-sponsored by Sens. Tory Rocca of Sterling Heights, Joe Hune of Hamburg Township, Dave Hildenbrand of Lowell and Jack Brandenburg of Harrison Township.

All five Republicans voted in 2011 against a bill backed by Gov. Rick Snyder that rewrote state tax code, eliminating the oft-criticized Michigan Business Tax and cutting personal income tax exemptions on pensions while limiting homestead property credits.

Jones said he supported the MBT-repeal portion of the legislation, [snip]

Votes do indeed have consequences.  I know plenty of folks who have just had enough of JenniRick Snydholm's amnesty promoting, BIGGER TAXES, Bigger Government, and Bigger Spending federal government dependency Bee esS.  Looks like the Taxed Enough Already message is finally slapping the stealth Democrat self-invented Nerd persona upside his bulbous head with legislators now fearful of losing their elected seats.  Good.  Just wait until folks figure out what was done to them with Blue Cross Blue Shield in 2016, and bowing to the Nerd.

SB 280: SML Richardville, and reelected Speaker Bolger (if not indicted by mid August), have yet another legislative opportunity to salvage the '14 election for the MIaGOP, but will they lead the way?
