Was away from everything news related for the past few days, and not to be surprised with my return to an interesting blurb in mLive the other day (Nope. Not linking to them) that it is still SSDD in the sociopathic world of politics.
"The emergency manager has met with the White House and members of the state's congressional delegation, and these meetings focused on how the federal government can assist in Detroit's restructuring," said Orr's spokesperson Bill Nowling in an email message. "At each of those meetings it was made clear that a federal bailout is not a possibility." Let that sink in.
Nobody is interested in bailing out LBJ's "model city" Detroit. N-O-B-O-D-Y. Sure, the Congressional Black Caucus has gone whining to race-baiter-in-chief, president Odowngrade², with JoAnn's "bring home some bacon" meme, but that narrative is as common as the sun rising in the East. Besides, preezy Soetoro's agenda is already booked with making this entire nation look like Detoilet, so, how in the Hell can he bail out Detoilet? Barry can't. All of D.C. knows that bailing out Detoilet is opening Pandora's box. Think Killadelphia isn't just around the corner on going teats up? Think again. It is poison for the However, click on the Full Story button. I want you all to meet a very real-life Charlie Gordon character from Daniel Keyes' award winning short story. Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go I owe my soul to the Government store
The state of Michigan will soon allow companies, organizations and communities to use the popular "Pure Michigan" branding in joint advertising and marketing. ...and that government of choosing the people, over the people, forking the people, shall not parish from Lansing, nor D.C. This is about as good as it gets with avoiding clear answers to direct questions.
God, I just despise the nasally weasel. Snyder embodies everything that is in topic over here. It's going to be a pleasure to fire him next November. (4 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
A nation laughs...
In spite of a long documented history of failure, you own it, Lansing Nerdpublicans. OABTW, you own the Tax Hike too. Maybe, just maybe it will sink into Republican voters heads that they have a Nerd problem. However, this is Michigan, so I'm not going to hold my breath. Gov. Snyder has pretty much sealed his re-election fate. If he blunders on with his Milliken v2.0 course (with Calley, or not), Rick Michigan will in fact be a One Term Nerd.
Gov. Rick Snyder's decision to take Detroit into bankruptcy has statewide popularity, but his advocacy for expanding Medicaid has cost him support among fellow Republicans, according to a new poll released exclusively to The Detroit News. When Snyder is out at County Party fundraisers, pay attention to what the Nerd doesn't say about his government growing, tax hiking agenda before writing him and Schostak that contribution check. NOTE:
While the governor held a series of forums over the past month advocating for Medicaid expansion inside medical facilities across the state, he's taken a different message to his Republican base lately. What a mealy-mouthed corporatist weasel, nevertheless, there it is = Rick Snyder. More importantly, the 800 lb. Conservative Gorilla is in the "Big Tent" and still has no use for milquetoast Team R pale pastel. If Senate Republicans had any doubts on how/why they should Vote No on HB 4714, it has been unequivocally removed for them. Or, be betrayed again by a term limited Richardville without the kiss. Vote at your own electoral peril, Senators. By Corinthian Scales, Section Multimedia

How Boehner single-handedly lost the GOP Majority in the House for 2014
{facepalm} Every House Republican't that voted for a second term of Weeper Boehner should be tarred, feathered, and ran out of town on a rail. That should be the "teachable moment" for Representative Steve King. It's the pandering Politically Correct garbage in the GOP "Big Tent" that will stab one in the back just as fast, if not faster, than the By Corinthian Scales, Section News
The Ilitch family knows how to send some lobbyists to Lansing to come home with their bacon.
In the same week that Detroit announced its bankruptcy, a state board unanimously approved plans for a new hockey arena for the Red Wings -- a decision that has raised a few eyebrows among critics. Because bankruptcy was avoided in Detoilet by taxpayer subsidized Comerica Park, and Ford Field. Yessirree. Southeast Michigan, and Lansing Nerdpublicans sure do have their priorities in order. This all reminds me of the expression, like putting a diamond on a goat's ass. (4 comments) Comments >>
