  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

Have You Heard of UN Agenda 21?

I hadn't until I heard Rosa Korie on the Glen Beck show about a year ago.  She was talking about her book, Behind the Green Mask.  I ended up reading the book and doing some research and what I found was frightening.

    What is UN Agneda 21?

UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development is the action plan implemented worldwide to inventory and control all land, all water, all minerals, all plants, all animals, all construction, all means of production, all energy, all education, all information, and all human beings in the world.

A Michigan-based company slated to produce lithium-ion polymer batteries for electric vehicles has instead kept production overseas, has failed to meet job targets outlined in a $150 million grant from the federal government, and has been reimbursed by the government for $842,000 in wasted work time, according to a U.S. Department of Energy Special Report released Wednesday.

The DOE says Holland, Mich.-based LG Chem Michigan misused part of a $150 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds and has decided not to shift production from its plant in South Korea to Michigan. It painted a stark picture of wasted U.S. federal dollars.

"Until the shift in production takes place or some alternative use for the plant is developed, U.S. taxpayers will receive little direct benefit from a plant for which they provided up to half of the funding," the report said.

Thank God the republicans in Lansing, didn't throw away taxpayers money overseas on Green crap like those reckless big spending Democrats... Oh! Wait.

A Message To Our Legislators - Beware False Choices

    DEQ Receives Big Ben-dover Award

Naturally, because the Fabians in England has managed its own affairs so well, why not seek their approval here in, Michigan?

The DEQ recently was recognized by an International environmental group for its pollution prevention efforts.

The department was a 2012 North America Gold winner of the International Green Apple Award for Environmental Best Practices by The Green Organisation, an independent, non-political, non-profit organization that recognizes, rewards, and promotes environmental best practices around the world.

How do you like them apples?  Nothing like the cost savings associated with keeping the incredibly expensive global green hoax alive with such not-ready-for-primetime ideals that are rewarding subsidy to foreign nations, or are being bought by Communists for pennies on the US taxpayer Dollar.

Speaking of rotten Green apples.  Exactly what is in the Memorandums of Agreement Granholm signed with England, that Governor Snyder, would want it to remain secret, anyway?

Gas Tax: Be it State or Federal, Schemers do Scheme

While we all await the Governerd's State of the State address focusing on infrastructure, I just happened to come across another gas tax scam the Feds are toying with again, via The Examiner

An on-again, off-again move by the Obama administration to scrap the federal gas tax in favor of a pay-per-mile fee would boost the tab to Americans as high as 250 percent, raising their current tax of 18.4 cents a gallon to as high as 46 cents, according to a new government study.

But without a tax increase, said the Government Accountability Office study, the government's highway fund is going to go dry.

Yannow, for the life of me, I just can't begin to imagine the many reasons why the road funds would go dry?

Anyone up for the Governerd's bike trail from Detroit to Wisconsin?  WDIV's Roger Weber says, "wouldn't it be a blast".

Stabenow, Levin, Obama Target 10,432 Michigan Family Farms

    The Examiner

New legislation that jumps the death tax to 55 percent of estates exceeding $1 million threatens 526,421 family farms, of about 25 percent of all farms in America, according to a Senate analysis.

According to the analysis from the Senate Republican Policy Committee, chaired by Wyoming's John Barrasso:

If President Obama and Senate Democrats do not act, the federal government will begin taking more than half the value of family farm estates exceeding $1 million beginning next year. This summer, Majority Leader Harry Reid and Senate Democrats passed legislation (S.3412) on a party-line vote that allows Washington to take up to 55 percent, a huge increase over today's top rate of 35 percent, and drop the tax's exemption from $5.1 million to $1 million. The lower exemption -- combined with soaring farm real estate values -- could put more than 420,000 additional farm estates at risk from the death tax.

Looks like Democratic Party funders George, and Warren, must be interested in acquiring some blocks of land on the cheap.  S.3412 was indeed passed by Party-line with Stabenow, and Levin voting Yea.  And, to think that re-elected moron, Alan Grayson's imbecile rhetoric used against Republicans, now similarly places over a half million family farms in jeopardy.  Don't get sick - Don't Die - or Democrats will tax your property away from your heirs.

Congratulations, you voted for it!  Ironic, yes?  Shouldn't be to anyone by now.

...a government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have. - President Gerald R. Ford

Why Is Stabenow The Worst Senator? Let's Count The Ways

A website was recently launched, asking the question, "Why is Debbie Stabenow the Worst Senator?"  Plenty of response to this, so I'm told, and many people voicing their opinion as to why, according to them, Debbie The Dangerously Incompetent needs to go (upward of 13,000 replies to date, if I'm informed correctly).  Though I don't have that list handy, I did converse with a few Michigan tea partiers and review the responses on Pete Hoekstra's campaign FaceBook page.  The distilled feedback that I have follows the break.

The return address on the envelope is familiar, and it should be, though strangely enough no name (business or person) is provided with it.  So far as I can tell, this letter was sent out to the entire voting membership of the Michigan Republican Party state central committee (117 people) . . . at a minimum.  If the letter was sent outside that list, and how far outside that list if so, I don't know, nor do I think it much matters at this juncture.  What I find disturbing about the letter is the lengths to which a self-proclaimed conservative republican will go in order to advance yet another progressive cause.

    That's Saul Folks . . . He Still Hasn't Learned

You would think that, after the mudhole he had stomped into his keister back at the May state convention, lame-duck National Committeeman Saul Anuzis would understand that we the people are a tad more aware of what's going on politically in our state, especially with regard to stealth initiatives aimed at permanently undermining either our individual liberties, or our constitutional protections against government overreach.  Unfortunately, you'd be wrong.

You might then think that I'm referring to the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, which Saul has subtly pushed on his blogsite at least four times since the May state convention; either suggesting the possibility of one candidate (perhaps Romney) winning the popular presidential vote while the other (perhaps Obama) wins the Electoral College, or suggesting the possibility of an Electoral College tie.  Never-you-mind the reality that, according to Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight, the statistical likelihood of the former is currently either 2.0% or 3.2% (depending on which way the inconsistency breaks), and of the latter is currently 0.3%.

You'd be wrong there, too.  No, Saul has a whole other trick up his sleeve this time around, and a whole different progressive cause that he's advocating for.
