This is a sorta fun development for Conservatives watching what the Snyder administration has placed into its own lap. Remember what Terry Stanton (same office of Amy Hichez) stated about our Treasury Dept., just yesterday?
"Any personal issues he is working through have not, in any way, affected his performance as State Treasurer." Pure Bee-esS. Meet current Treasury Department "Executive Assistant," and former Dillon House staffer ($56,000.00), Amy U. Hichez.
State Treasurer Andy Dillon's secretary sued his ex-wife for defamation Wednesday for claiming she had an affair with her boss. Indeed. What further defamation is possible with those who sit in government with Andy and his buddy, Miles Handy? Yet, much like Hillary Clinton, and Huma Abedin, the slovenly attired self-invented Nerd persona is going to stand by his man. Frillant move for the Executive branch of state government that is the flagship of the MI-GOP. That down-ticket vote for "Team R" will suffer in 2014. That is just a 'No boundaries' Rick Michigan, enabling - fact. (1 comment) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Germans have the coolest words for such things involving the Rick Snyder experiment. For example, take the self-invented Nerd persona's selection for state Treasurer.
Pure Schadenfreude.
Dillon has acknowledged a bout with alcoholism while being the governor's point man for handling financially distressed cities and school districts. Again, zero transparency from Rick Snyder. Sure Dave Murray, we little people "believe" you too. Just try boozing as a "point man" in the Private Sector, and see how long it takes to be shown the door. And, this is a so-called Executive's decision? Amazing. Fact remains that Rick Snyder owns that appointment, and isn't man enough to deal with his can of worms - but, he'll have to before long. There's more...
"Treasurer Dillon is in the office and on the job every day, working diligently as always for the people of the State of Michigan," spokesman Terry Stanton said in an email. "Any personal issues he is working through have not, in any way, affected his performance as State Treasurer." 12 years of taxpayer funded professional turd polishing just can't be wrong, yes? Survey says...
A Wayne County Family Court judge has issued a mutual restraining order against Dillon and his ex-wife after they filed competing personal protection orders against each other. D'oh! Really. Who could've foreseen the years of dysfunction that Andy Dillon, would bring to an alleged Republican administration? Hmmm, I wonder... Only one word comes to mind: Starve. Yannow, between the Governerd surrounding himself with a deadbeat Treasurer, and a Medicaid billing mooslime responsible for at least one death now dumping $25K into the One Tough Nerd PAC <cough>HB 4714</cough>, all one has to do is sit back and watch "Rick Michigan" implode all on his own. Damn good thing you're getting your monies upfront, young Johnny. One Term Nerd, baby! By KG One, Section Multimedia
When the Chi-comms are now making fun of you... Submitted w/o any further comment. (2 comments) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
Seriously, its really becoming US V THEM.
The governor actually does something that makes sense, (and only 2-3 decades late) and the protectors of leftist failures jump into action. And, the kids are getting hurt feelings. Yesterday's Detroit Bankruptcy filing made little Rose cry. She thought she had beat the bad man to the punch. So she has retaliated: "Aquilina said she would make sure President Obama got a copy of her order."THAT will teach that bad boy a lesson. Once uncle Barry hears about it, he's going to take Ricky's bridge away. (6 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Jeesh, can't a-n-y-o-n-e be straight with stating what things are anymore. <cough>DIA Tax - Randy Richardville</cough> By JGillman, Section News
Who will claim the decaying body that is Detroit?
Kevyn Orr, The emergency financial manager, was given an unworkable task. In a city that has been reassured repeatedly that it is too big to fail, the lights are going out. All manner of economic development incentive paid for by Michigan taxpayers as yet proves to be insufficient to generate the activity necessary for basic government services, and a sustained infrastructure. Four decades of progressive politics and fear of calling out bad decision making as it happened; fearing the sting of racial politics, and lack of compassion. Its far too late now. Banks that have loaned Detroit operating cash should count those loans as losses. Retirees that did their jobs, and counted on their employer to manage finances and their retirement moneys appropriately might wish to reevaluate their portfolios. Orr's current status report? "Excluding proceeds from debt issuances, the City's expenditures have exceeded revenues from fiscal year 2008 to fiscal year 2012 by an average of $100 million annually. These financial shortfalls have been addressed with long term debt issuances (e.g., $75 million in fiscal year 2008, $250 million in fiscal year 2010 and $137 million in fiscal year 2013) and by deferring payments of certain City obligations, such as contributions to the City's two pension funds."But that's not all. There are some other interesting items that have a familiar smell Continued below the fold. (4 comments, 783 words in story) Full Story By Corinthian Scales, Section News
History fun factoids:
Michigan Gov. Rick Synder, who appointed Orr as emergency manager Thursday, was acquainted with Orr while at U-M. Snyder, who graduated with a law degree and MBA in 1982, reportedly met Orr during a snowball fight on campus. OK, the tax deadbeat thing aside, let the corruption commence! (2 comments) Comments >>
