Yannow, after watching George W and John McRINO get trounced three times in '07 when they were pushing their McCain-Kennedy scAmnesty vote, this will seem par for the GOP course to most RM readers.
Nearly a hundred top Republican donors and Bush administration officials sent a letter to the House GOP on Tuesday urging lawmakers to pass a bill that legalizes illegal immigrants, arguing that the current system is already allowing them to stay and so it makes sense to register them and bring them into the system. I wonder if they mean something like this over a dozen potential Republican voters. Nice, eh?
Is it really any wonder why Michigan's La Raza Award recipient and Muhammadan pandering fool lost his Senate seat to Debbie Stabenow? No. Democrat trumps Democrat-lite every time. Matter of fact, Democrat-lite always paves the way for electing a Democrat. Fact. See Ford, Read My Lips Bush, Dubya (yes, he built As for La Raza Abraham's buddy, not only is Carlos Gutierrez a disgusting excuse for a human, but also a treacherous open borders tool, and reasonably questionable American citizen. Quite frankly, anyone contributing money to the state or, national Party or, any of its committees is - certifiably nuts. (1 comment) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
But NO to Medicaid expansion.
Snyder is straight up serious in taking care of his health lobby friends. He is not going to quit, or roll over as along as he thinks he can 'turn a few.' Some good information on the status of the expansion of the medicaid/welfare state in Michigan is always available if one pays attention. To wit, Jack Hoogendyk says: "The governor of Michigan has not given up on his quest to expand Medicaid. He succeeded in getting HB 4714 through the house in June. He hit a roadblock in the Senate. Since they failed to take a vote on 4714 and went on recess, the governor has been on a statewide tour in an attempt to whip up support in the general public. A special work group has been assigned to find "substitute language" in the bill that can get the needed votes for passage. Rumor is, they are on their 9th version of the bill.Yes we know. This scenario is NOT impossible, but at this point not likely, unless some fence sitters indicate they will deal. In a way, one might actually be able to gauge the integrity of their state senator by what that senator does, and what deals are made in exchange for a yes vote. For the most part, sides have been chosen. The fence sitters are either A. Waiting for a better deal/promise from the governor, or B. are truly conflicted as to the real cost/benefit of the equation presented them. And perhaps the latter reason could encourage a little more resolve from some constituents. In fact, having heard in the last week that Tom Casperson might be leaning the humpty dumpty route and favoring the Snyder Medicaid plan, perhaps some clarification calls to the honorable Upper Peninsula State Senator are in order? As always we encourage the most respectful dialogue with our legislators and their office personnel. And as Casperson has been a strong A21 opponent, it might help to point out that Medicaid Expansion is undoubtedly part of the A21 plan. OH, and if you get put on hold, pass the time with this. How Boehner single-handedly lost the GOP Majority in the House for 2014
{facepalm} Every House Republican't that voted for a second term of Weeper Boehner should be tarred, feathered, and ran out of town on a rail. That should be the "teachable moment" for Representative Steve King. It's the pandering Politically Correct garbage in the GOP "Big Tent" that will stab one in the back just as fast, if not faster, than the By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Besides Rick Snyder, same 'ol same old... Amnesty for gatecrashers.
The immigration overhaul passed by the U.S. Senate could put a big squeeze on the budgets of state and local governments. Not that the self-invented Nerd persona since being sworn to his Oath has done a damn thing about that "big squeeze" anyway. Why Hell, stealth Democrat Rick Michigan has even fought his own Secretary of State, Ruth Johnson, over providing gatecrashers a driver license, squashing voter verification, and placing the Lawless to the front of the line ahead of American citizens. Michiganders must really enjoy being little more than Debt Slaves. Wolverines - do not. Frankly, I don't see a snowball's chance in Hell that Snyder will be a second term anything in this state, but go ahead "liberty-minded network" with squandering your time and resources on Calley. The Weeper blathers on...
Good God, if they break the Law, we break the Law, too? Just beyond stupid, anymore. Stale, really. The only thing that changes in the District of Corruption, is the day. The House has held, what, 30? 40? (I quit counting) Repeal Obummercare votes, and yet, the Historic Scam 1/2 of the 1/3 of government blunders on. Yes John, Harry Reid will be all over your two bills from the House, like a hobo on a ham sandwich - passing them. GMAFB, already. (2 comments) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
The 14th Congressional District Republican Committee last evening passed a resolution opposing the expansion of Medicaid and the implementation of health care exchanges.
The committee resolution states
IT IS THE SENSE of the 14th CDRC Officers and Members that expanding Medicaid at the behest of the federal government runs contrary to the principles of the Republican Party, which opposes government-run health care, economic interventionism, and federal control of private industry.Indeed. And this is not the ONLY Republican committee to do so. 64 days.. (5 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Big Government
Rep. Dave Camp (R-MI), the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, tweeted Wednesday evening that the Senate's immigration bill is unconstitutional because it raises revenues and originated in the Senate instead of the House. Looks like Dave Camp won't be voting for another term of Rick Snyder, or will Camp, just because the Nerd has "R" after his last name? H/t iOwnTheWorld.com (1 comment) Comments >>
