Snyder Budget: $900 Million To Illegal Aliens

Folks, if you would be so kind, look over Governor Snyder's MiDashboard for me.  Somehow, in its claimed enhanced accountability of Lansing, I didn't see a button for this.

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder told an audience of Hispanic business leaders that the state doesn't need an immigration enforcement law like the one causing controversy in Arizona.

Snyder told members of the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Thursday in Detroit that such a law would "encourage a divisive atmosphere."

Well, there you go again.  Divisive?  Rick, we need to talk...

Governor Snyder, did it ever enter your mind when speaking to the "Hispanic business leaders" that they are legal citizens too.  I'm making the assumption that they were to eliminate argument.  So, why on Gods' earth would a LEGAL U.S. Citizen/Resident Alien be offended with enforcing our U.S. Law?  And, If they truly would be offended with that, they can GFT's right along with the illegals.

Obviously this issue from two months ago needs to be addressed again with the following portion highlighted.

To Rep. David Agema, the bills' sponsor, the issue is simple: Undocumented immigrants are breaking the law, taking jobs away from Michigan residents and costing the state millions in public services. "I don't care what country you're from -- legal is legal and illegal is illegal," said Agema, R-Grandville.

Yep.  Damn straight, Rep. Agema, you have my unyielding support.  Now here's the liberal slant in the Detroit rag... does 150,000 illegal aliens in Michigan sound like a small figure to you?

According to the Pew Hispanic Center, Michigan has among the lowest percentages of undocumented residents and undocumented workers in the country. An estimated 150,000 people living in Michigan are doing so illegally, or about 1.5 percent of the population, compared to a national average of 3.7 percent. About 2 percent of Michigan workers are estimated to be undocumented, compared to 5.2 percent nationally and 7.1 percent in Arizona.

2% of Michigan's labor?  That's 85,000 illegal aliens employed in our state folks.  That's a hell of a lot of employers in this state using illegals which now are also going to reap the benefits of Snyder's new Corporate Tax.  Why is this an issue?

Agema cites estimates from the Federation for American Immigration Reform that illegal immigrants cost Michigan $900 million a year. Those costs include imprisonment, as well as public education. Public schools must accept all children, whether they are documented residents or not. On average, Michigan schools are given $7,800 per student from the state.

Howza 'bout that.  That $900 million right there that illegal aliens siphon off the state is 57% of our $1.58 billion dollar budget deficit.  And Snyder blames budget costs on geezers in this state while going after their pensions?  It's beyond disgusting.  Ricky boy, July 1 is prolly gonna be a very enlightening day for you.

Illegals in Michigan = $900,000,000.00 per year.  Let that sink in.

This that everyone is going apesh!t over is a drop in the ocean in comparison.  'Cause, after all, there are so many more millionaires created playing the lottery than there are illegal leeches dontchya know.

The more that Governor Snyder plays the same "too divisive" crap with kowtowing to unions and NOW illegal aliens while sticking everyone else in the ass jacking around property taxes and keeping the Granholm/Dillon Income Tax... that July 1 deal may still hold true.  I know that I'm teetering on whether or not to collect signatures myself.

It also may not be that well known but Michigan is having problems with our Canadian border now identified a greater terror threat than Mexico.

Again, from the top, with race and liberal politics (ironically one in the same) removed:

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder ... the state doesn't need an immigration enforcement law.

It looks real stupid now doesn't it?

Governor Snyder, there is no difference with you, and Resident Obysmal.

{wringing hands} We don't need to be divisive and p!ss off the illegals...  It's ungottdamnedbelievable.

I'm not sure about you, but I sincerely hope that the TEA Partiers are now better equipped in vetting than they were with this Moderate dark horse governor that the Yobbites within the MI-GOP flimflammed through the August 2010 Primary.

And people are expecting him to act differently... (none / 0) (#1)

    ...why?

I'm not teetering on the petition thing.

Shaking down the seniors so that he can make nice with the education crowd, the movie crowd, and just about every other moocher who got a little something special this week is what did it for me.

Wild-eyed <strike>Cult leader</strike> Governor Rich Snyder demonstrates his control over the easily manipulated.

Seriously, if the guv can brainwash republicans that raising taxes is a good thing (if it is "A NET TAX CUT"...shame that NET TAX CUT isn't for the same group of people), I shudder to think of what he has on the back-burner for the rest of the producing class?
