Pure governmental a$$hattery.
How about a nice big bowl of Yooper Super Scooper Fudge ice cream? At least I know which Crapitalism brand name not to buy from now on. (2 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
"I looked up my family tree and found three dogs using it" - Rodney Dangerfield Here we go again in Michigan.
Ronna Romney McDaniel, granddaughter of former Michigan Gov. George Romney, said she's "looking at" a Republican run for Senate after Democrat Carl Levin announced he's not going to seek re-election. She was an active campaigner for her uncle Mitt Romney last year. What's happening in DC? Career hack politicos getting by, or surviving on last name recognition, and a disinterested electorate because we know both sides of the Ruling Class are lying to us.
Her father, Scott Romney, Mitt's older brother, told The News that after initially considering a run he has decided against a bid for the seat held for more than three decades by Levin, D-Detroit. Wait for it... {yawn}
Is this the 52-48 ShowStak Brand rearing its ugly head? Maybe the CD-11 Star Chamber making their move, again? Frankly, I could care less about either - MiGOP record of Romney failure: Lenore (1970), Ronna née Rakolta (94 & 96), G. Scott (AG '98), and Willard (08 & 12). Some folks just can't seem to take a hint. Sure, Ronna Between the Bush dynasty, and Romney wannabes, the Team R interlopers are beginning to make the Kennedy clan look like pikers among the last name entitlement leeches. Good luck with that. Considering the massive amounts of very, damning evidence, will the republican Sheeple go baahahahaha? Some folk already have their white T-shirt on. (3 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Fact is folks, Michigan has been blessed with our Balanced Budget Law... partially. However, with every term of vote buying, and interest lobby bought off congresscritters we send to Lansing, proclaiming that R is for reverse, and D is for driving into a ditch, our bloated budget habitually reflects that like a teenager with a new license to the family car - the keys need to be restricted from exposure. As it should be, most youth behaves carefree with their new power to blaze their own trail on the open roads, however, that still leaves mom, and dad held responsible for the family car. It's a fact of life - when the little darlings have a fender bender caused by doing things other than paying attention to the road, any damage caused comes out of the family wallet to fix the car.
Yessirree. Article V, Section 18 is merely PLPD coverage on the family car. Out of pocket repair bills is exactly the exposure that every Michigan family faces with handing the keys to their little darlings behind the Lansing wheel. What's that? A smart family should know to also carry collision, or, Full Coverage if entrusting others with risks to the family vehicle? Well, with just checking the old inbox, that is the message that the good folks over at the Michigan Capitol Confidential are driving home on Prop 5.
The idea behind a Tax Limitation Amendment is to make it more difficult for the political class to pilfer the pockets of taxpayers. Research -- most notably by scholar Mancur Olson -- has shown time and again that in democratic nations the wishes of an electorate are often ignored by narrow special interests that seek costly "favors" from the government. Politicians all too frequently accommodate those favors (be they subsidies or tariffs or spending hikes or other items) in part because their contributors and powerful constituents support them. Increasing taxes also is often a path of least resistance. Amen! So, the natural question must be asked, why is it that the biggest opponent of Prop 5, Rick Snyder, a CEO, and CPA mind you, is behaving like a teenager who incessantly tells dumb 'ol mom and dad who are liable for his actions that he can text and drive? The funny thing is with Halloween approaching, skeletons do come out of the closet... (786 words in story) Full Story By Corinthian Scales, Section News
I reckon that being truthful plays all kinds of hell on an Executive who pushed through the DIA Tax on his county, and on a Governerd swirling tax dollars down the drain on excess, and extravagance while the bodies pile, and anarchy descends.

The Michigan Republican Party on Tuesday pulled a cable TV ad that bashes Detroit while touting Oakland County's GOP. And, folks still try to tell me that there is a Two Party system. Again .. Shut up, Brooks. Your 73-year-old duplicitous tongue needs to head out to pasture, and tell tales of how you remember your legend to your grandchildren. Everything has a built in obsolescence, Brooks - you, like this dangerous fossil, have finally met yours. That is fact. (2 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Alas, CD-11 is settled for November, 6.
Wayne Co Special Election Results, here. Oakland Co Special Election Results, here. The ball is driven firmly in your end of the establishment court, Third World voting Baghdad Bobby. (3 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
The level of establishment skullduggery being demonstrated in Oakland Co shows no limits. Now, we have Nolan Finley, deciding to carry the Patterson/Cassis water with propagating a new "whisper campaign" with seeds of intent to malign Republican CD-11 candidate, Kerry Bentivolio.
Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson was disappointed in the outcome of the primary vote and wasn't sure if the party establishment will rally around Bentivolio. What's to do, Brooks? You and your cronies support the only Republican, Kerry Bentivolio. C'mon Brooks, get that big old swollen Teddy Kennedy-sized head of yours out of the peoples way: you're obstructing the Party candidate. It's bad enough to have Third World voting Schostak in Lansing dumping on Mr. Bentivolio, but I never expected to read a hastily slapped together before the AG announcement, Finley piece pushing the 'Nutty Nancy' propaganda mill too.
Contributing to the hesitancy of GOP poobahs to embrace Bentivolio Wednesday were rumors that his campaign will be touched when Attorney Gen. Bill Schuette issues election fraud indictments Thursday in the McCotter ballot petition fraud investigation. Opinions piece based upon agenda rumors, Nolan? Unnecessary. Sorry, Mr. Finley, but YOU really owe Mr. Bentivolio, a HUGE apology. And you actually wonder why Kerry declined speaking with you? You're some piece of work, Nolan. Your employer must be so proud.
Like before, The Buck Stops with McCotter. AG Schuette Press Release, here. (5 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
I just happened to catch this little gem from the Worst Party Chair EVER via The Detroit News.
Bentivolio will face Dr. Syed Taj, a Canton Township trustee, in November. Cassis congratulated Bentivolio, but did not offer an endorsement. So, the only Republican on the ballot in CD-11 receives "He succeeded" in an all-out orchestrated smear campaign waged against him. That besmirching of Kerry Bentivolio, actually happened at the MI-GOP "Unity" event for Hoekstra? What strange bedfellows. Pete, and John, where's all that 'Relentless Positive' talk from folk in Party Leadership for, Mr. Bentivolio? DRIC Nerd make no likey for Kerry-san too? DRIC Nerd has not been afraid to poke his nose into Oakland Co politics before, so that is a reasonable question to raise. Wow! What a take away from it all. Unbelievable. Well, maybe it's not so unbelievable considering that Chair Schostak was gushing over adding the 2010 MEA, UFCW, AFL-CIO, MI AFSCME, AFT endorsed Democrat, Roy Schmidt poisoning the Party well. The CD-11 agenda is obvious. If Chair Schostak isn't signaling the local Party's that he is willing to aid them with noncommittal messages to get their Chosen One elected on Sept 5, then nothing is. Folks in CD-11, you're now being played at the state level. Without doubt. The state level players have said that you are incompetent dummies that need your candidate selected for you by networked hierarchy folk with money. Frankly, I'm not sure where the grassroots stand anymore after their successful ouster of NPV Saul Anuzis and his ties to the Anyone but Hoekstra senate candidate, but if this kind of ongoing election manipulation such as "DELE-GATE" by establishment is to ever end, replacing Saul and Holly, with the Honorable Rep. Dave Agema, and Terri Lynn Land, was just the beginning. Bobby Schostak, has to go.
