"Oh, I am heartily tired of hearing about what Lee is going to do. Some of you always seem to think he is suddenly going to turn a double somersault, and land in our rear and on both of our flanks at the same time. Go back to your command, and try to think what we are going to do ourselves, instead of what Lee is going to do." - Lt.Gen. Ulysses S. Grant, to an unnamed Union field commander, on the evening of May 6th, 1864, during the Battle of the Wilderness. In sports, a key to keeping one's opponent off the scoreboard is to keep their defense off the field (or to significantly disrupt their offensive rhythm). Matt Stafford, Calvin Johnson, and Reggie Bush can't do the Lions much good if they can't get off the sidelines; nor can Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder do the Tigers much good if they can't get into the batter's box; nor can Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk do the Red Wings much good if they can't inside the opponent's blue line. Similarly, in war, both strategic and tactical success is often determined by whichever side can maintain the initiative, denying the enemy forces the operational latitude to dictate the time, location, and conditions of any engagement more significant than an isolated skirmish. Doing so keeps the enemy reactive, instead of proactive, and denies them the opportunity to accomplish their objectives, while allowing friendly forces to achieve theirs. In regard to maintaining the initiative, politics is no different from either sports or war. Keep the opposition responding to your actions, or keep them just disorganized enough that they can't do anything productive, and the next thing they know, the election's been won before a single vote gets tabulated.

Nothing sadder to watch than two aging queens trying to hide their Obamacare thrill going up their leg. Nerd, Progressive, and Big Government is no way to go through life, Rick Michigan. By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Only one word comes to mind: Starve. Yannow, between the Governerd surrounding himself with a deadbeat Treasurer, and a Medicaid billing mooslime responsible for at least one death now dumping $25K into the One Tough Nerd PAC <cough>HB 4714</cough>, all one has to do is sit back and watch "Rick Michigan" implode all on his own. Damn good thing you're getting your monies upfront, young Johnny. One Term Nerd, baby! By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go I owe my soul to the Government store
The state of Michigan will soon allow companies, organizations and communities to use the popular "Pure Michigan" branding in joint advertising and marketing. ...and that government of choosing the people, over the people, forking the people, shall not parish from Lansing, nor D.C. This is about as good as it gets with avoiding clear answers to direct questions.
God, I just despise the nasally weasel. Snyder embodies everything that is in topic over here. It's going to be a pleasure to fire him next November. (4 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Gov. Snyder has pretty much sealed his re-election fate. If he blunders on with his Milliken v2.0 course (with Calley, or not), Rick Michigan will in fact be a One Term Nerd.
Gov. Rick Snyder's decision to take Detroit into bankruptcy has statewide popularity, but his advocacy for expanding Medicaid has cost him support among fellow Republicans, according to a new poll released exclusively to The Detroit News. When Snyder is out at County Party fundraisers, pay attention to what the Nerd doesn't say about his government growing, tax hiking agenda before writing him and Schostak that contribution check. NOTE:
While the governor held a series of forums over the past month advocating for Medicaid expansion inside medical facilities across the state, he's taken a different message to his Republican base lately. What a mealy-mouthed corporatist weasel, nevertheless, there it is = Rick Snyder. More importantly, the 800 lb. Conservative Gorilla is in the "Big Tent" and still has no use for milquetoast Team R pale pastel. If Senate Republicans had any doubts on how/why they should Vote No on HB 4714, it has been unequivocally removed for them. Or, be betrayed again by a term limited Richardville without the kiss. Vote at your own electoral peril, Senators. By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Yannow, after watching George W and John McRINO get trounced three times in '07 when they were pushing their McCain-Kennedy scAmnesty vote, this will seem par for the GOP course to most RM readers.
Nearly a hundred top Republican donors and Bush administration officials sent a letter to the House GOP on Tuesday urging lawmakers to pass a bill that legalizes illegal immigrants, arguing that the current system is already allowing them to stay and so it makes sense to register them and bring them into the system. I wonder if they mean something like this over a dozen potential Republican voters. Nice, eh?
Is it really any wonder why Michigan's La Raza Award recipient and Muhammadan pandering fool lost his Senate seat to Debbie Stabenow? No. Democrat trumps Democrat-lite every time. Matter of fact, Democrat-lite always paves the way for electing a Democrat. Fact. See Ford, Read My Lips Bush, Dubya (yes, he built As for La Raza Abraham's buddy, not only is Carlos Gutierrez a disgusting excuse for a human, but also a treacherous open borders tool, and reasonably questionable American citizen. Quite frankly, anyone contributing money to the state or, national Party or, any of its committees is - certifiably nuts. (1 comment) Comments >>
