Once again, we will be cleaning up the link fest at the bottom right. Those sites that haven't had any changes in a couple years will likely be removed.
RightMichigan.com is seeing unprecedented popularity, and the ranking for this site has improved by a third in the last two months alone. As this is typed, RM is ranked #102,885 in the world, and has improved its standing amongst conservative blogs nationally to about the 77th spot. (DBKP report a little behind as of this writing)This means we are hitting a lot of folks and getting the gears turning upstairs. And while we are coming into the new election cycle, I want to make sure that your blogs are updated so we can send traffic to them, and encourage you to keep on making your principled stands. But sometimes folks just plain stop writing. It sometimes takes a little more time than is available, and in other ways might not seem as rewarding. But we need to have strong conservative voices seen. RightMichigan.com can help that. Truth be told, Michigan has enough politics to keep 100 blogs busy full time. And many actually are. So as I work this morning on Obama's comments in Holland, on some other recent developments in the Michigan US senate primary, and the realization that we will have starving college students soon, those conservative bloggers who need to get us updated should drop a link or two in the comments so we know where to look. Arguably, no better way to light the match for the day, than taking a look at some of what Michigan's best bloggers are writing about.

We will be working on updating the link list both here and at MTTM.
We could use help. PLEASE if you know of someone who has their Michigan based (conservative) blog up, and is NOT on the list Post here in the comments. Also please post bad links you encounter. Every now and again I stumble on to some great work by conservative Michiganders that I was completely unaware. It would be great to have the Sphere type links once again. One of the great starting points to a wealth of great commentary. Update [2010-12-7 16:0:12 by JGillman]: I have killed dead links, and started looking at some of the links where there has not been posting for a year or more.. Busy day at the shop here.. Two guys out right now and Monday is always a doozy anyhow.
Great content over the weekend. Generally, I prefer the comments part of any discussion, but Jenkuz, KG One, and Rougman lit it up to be sure. Looking back into history, there used to be an equivalent to this type of discourse. Usually it was held in the back of a tavern, or in a barn. Community leaders speaking up, and out, on a variety of issues affecting us. Even back then it may not have always been friendly. But it still happened. And it will still continue to happen here.. in this red barn of rightsidedness. Got a fun article coming up, but may not be done til a bit later.. In the meantime, the first Michigan related post I see goes Front page. By JGillman, Section News

Its been a busy year. In fact, between keeping the business afloat, deaths of family and friends, and personal political bids, its amazing I can even find the wherewithal to think, much less put those thoughts into readable and coherent text. As a matter of priority however, the text finds its way to the top. Hopefully as a time goes on, the big picture bears out the information flow's importance and effect on our political landscape, and ultimately on our lives. The truth shall set us free. Deception however.. abounds.

I have been exceptionally busy with campaigning for my local commission spot, and sometimes may miss a day. But that doesn't mean it has to be quiet around here. Right Michigan still remains the premier MICHIGAN based conservative hang out, with some great writers occasionally posting their thoughts. However, with all of the primary action going on across the state, I am somewhat surprised that there hasn't been many gratuitous postings of folks supporting their candidates. (Free Advertising folks..)
So here is a challenge.. Post something about your favorite local conservative or Republican candidate. Let us know how they are unique, and what they bring to the table over their primary opponent. Find something about them that people might not know, that makes them uniquely qualified for the position. Tell us about a special way they campaign or a trick to get some needed media attention.
As there are often races where a few votes separate 1st place and 1st to lose, it could be YOU that makes a difference. (9 comments) Comments >> By Shell, Section News
Early Friday morning the day after Thanksgiving, Michigan conservatives lost a good friend. David Hinz, blogger of "The Minority Report," was killed in a car accident on I-94 just west of Chelsea. According to a kindly-written Jackson Citizen Patriot article, he hit a patch of black ice.
