    RIP David Hinz, "The Minority Report"

    Early Friday morning the day after Thanksgiving, Michigan conservatives lost a good friend.  David Hinz, blogger of "The Minority Report," was killed in a car accident on I-94 just west of Chelsea.  According to a kindly-written Jackson Citizen Patriot article, he hit a patch of black ice.

    I had the pleasure of meeting Dave at a small town hall meeting with then-congressman Tim Walberg.  He was articulate, smart and genuinely concerned about the future of Michigan and our country.

    Godspeed, David.  We'll keep your family in our prayers.

    I never had the pleasure of meeting Dave Hinz and I am the poorer for it.  

    He was a good blogger, had great wisdom, and was a guy that always told you what he was thinking with measured respect. I was surprised to hear he was a CMU graduate with a journalism degree--how many conservatives with journalism degrees do you suppose that place turned out?  As far as I know, Dave makes two.    

    RIP, Dave.  I hope the Chips can win a couple more for ya.
