From Wednesday:
LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder today offered the following statement as the July 4 holiday weekend gets under way: Rick Snyder just placed ObamaCare exemptions (amnesty) to the front of the line over hiring already unemployed American citizens! This corporate limousine liberal has to go. The sooner it is admitted that voting Snyder in 2010 because "he's a Republican" was a mistake, the faster Party principle will be restored and upheld. The choice is yours, but in this state with Snyder and Schostak at the helm - the Republican Party remains dead to me. Lon's MDP team is on equal footing. Well, that's what the "BIG TAX BREAK" equates to for a $50,000/year income.
Michiganians can expect individual tax relief this year as part of an agreement on the state budget hammered out late Wednesday that also includes more money for education, roads and film tax credits. Yup. More film subsidy for wealthy Hollywood Lefty's, more subsidy for heating bill moochers, and Teachers Goonion payola. (1 comment) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
OK, Rep Walsh and Sen Richardville (go figure), where the hell is H.B. 4769 and SB 701?

A lot of folks would prefer we spend our time hitting the Democrats for their foibles, wrongness, and socially retarded ideals.
We do. We really do. Can we help that they spend so much time pretending to be Republicans? Randy Richardville is the perfect example. He is such a lousy Republican leader, the senate had to override him to make SB1018 a reality last week. He refuses to get on board with the best legislation the Republicans can get behind: RTW. And his push for that very strange DRIC/NICT project would make governor Granholm proud. IF she was still here. And whether you like the tactics involved with some who have pushed for stronger conservatism in the party or not, you must see the alliances and support system he has, as questionable. What the heck is going on here?
I can hardly keep up with the scandal laden atmosphere that apparently is still Michigan. One piece of work that in my view has a prison sentence with the former governor's name all over it, is the forced unionization scam that was perpetrated on the very folks who could hardly realize in time what was happening much less have a chance to object. A plan so deliberate and sinister, it took on a life that apparently continues to this day. "For the state to operate a dubiously formed government entity that has been defunded by the Legislature seems unprecedented," said Patrick Wright, director of the Mackinac Center Legal Foundation. "But such shenanigans aren't entirely surprising given the origination of this agency and the machinations to preserve it for the sake of skimming `union dues' from independent contractors." Ah crap. We have criminal activities on our side too? There can be only one way a republican could move to support what was at the least a vary BAD mistake, and more likely a collusive effort between a cash seeking union and our former governor. Victims were many, yet there are still those who wish to see more. Kahn? Fess up. Spill the beans on the shenanigans you and Richardville are involved in, and walk away with SOME form of dignity. You are about to see a whole lot of fun here with your name on it. Your move. (5 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
From the same folks trying to stick taxpayers with a boondoggle bridge for the Canucks.
"This past year marks the highest ridership totals ever on Amtrak services in Michigan," said State Transportation Director Kirk T. Steudle. "All three lines, especially the Blue Water, have made great gains, despite the slowdowns on the Pontiac/Detroit-Chicago corridor. We've taken steps to repair the track between Kalamazoo and Ypsilanti, so that will help bring speeds back to what customers expect." By Corinthian Scales, Section News
The Governerd goes full court press for that end of October vote on the boondoggle bridge.
