Just in case you've forgotten, there is a special primary election taking place in the old 11th Congressional District about a week from now. According to the Official Michigan Special Primary Candidate Listing, this is going to be a non-issue for the democrats, as David Curson is unopposed. The republican side of that ballot, however, is the entire reason for next week's special election in the first place. And that's just what the mischief-makers on both sides are probably counting on.

The iCaucus of Michigan was involved in eight races in Tuesday's Republican primary: The 6th Congressional District (Jack Hoogendyk endorsed over incumbent Fred Upton), the 11th Congressional District (Kerry Bentivolio endorsed over write-in candidate Nancy Cassis), the 74th House District (Rob VerHeulen endorsed over Steve Maas), the 104th House District (Jason Gillman recommended over incumbent Wayne Schmidt), and all four races in Plainfield Township, Kent County.
As a percentage of the involvement, the results were rather impressive.

You'd think that, after the shellacking that Saul Anuzis received a couple of months ago, the Michigan Republican Party would've got the hint that the grassroots in this here state isn't putting up with their crap anymore. Given that there's already a project underway to break the cycle of abusive behavior of state party leadership by replacing the corrupted party leadership (all the way down to the county party level, where necessary), you'd think that the elites would consider themselves on notice that getting their RINO asses in line is going to be the only way that they save their skins during the internal party elections that will be following the November general election.
Apparently, someone at MIGOP didn't get the memo.

Because of the principled approach to vetting and endorsing candidates, the tea party networks in several states (including in Michigan) voluntarily operate in strategic partnership with the Independence Caucus organization in their state. It's a group of concerned citizens devoted to electing candidates truly committed to constitutional loyalty and fiscal responsibility, regardless of party, whose goal is the election of such candidates to not less than 40% of the available seats in the several state legislatures and both chambers of Congress . . . in each election year. The iCaucus concerns itself with candidate screening, endorsement, and advocacy, with a specific focus on constitutional loyalty and grassroots activism, and on integrity over money, which makes it a unique organization in contemporary politics.

I have more than once on this site cited a paraphrase of John F. Kennedy's warning: Those who insist on making a peaceful takeover impossible will ultimately make a takeover by revolt inevitable, and perhaps even necessary. Since we cannot seem to trust the blueblood elites in the establishment to get the message, let's go below the fold and discuss an idea to "grease the skids" for their removal from power.

Just so that we can continue to show Nancy Cassis a little attention here on RightMichigan, let me draw your attention to a little scheme to put taxpayers on the hook for boneheaded decisions made by their local governments, specifically with regard to labor agreements.
