I have more than once on this site cited a paraphrase of John F. Kennedy's warning: Those who insist on making a peaceful takeover impossible will ultimately make a takeover by revolt inevitable, and perhaps even necessary. Since we cannot seem to trust the blueblood elites in the establishment to get the message, let's go below the fold and discuss an idea to "grease the skids" for their removal from power.

Mentioning the term "abusive relationship" will often conjure up any number of images in the listener's mind, from a physically violent spouse or parent to a tyrannical employer or a manipulative neighbor. But no matter the scenario or the type of relationship (domestic, intimate, personal, professional, or social), there is one thing that all truly abusive relationships have in common . . . exactly one common thread running through all abusive relationships that is the sole defining characteristic demarcating what does and doesn't make any relationship abusive. And until the person on the receiving end of the abuse gets this, there is no chance of breaking the cycle.

I have, my entire adult life, desired to accomplish one thing above all others. Beyond what normal men might find worth aspiring to, I have always wanted to win one when it really mattered. To just once be the guy it all rides on when it's on the line . . . and deliver the goods. To slay the dragon, save the world, and get the girl . . . film at eleven. To, for one moment in time, have my "A game" firing on all cylinders . . . and be utterly unstoppable.
However, God, in his wisdom, has heretofore seen fit to withhold from me such success . . . until last weekend.

In his book, "The Five Dysfunctions of a Team," Patrick Lencioni writes:
"If you could get all the people in an organization rowing in the same direction, you could dominate any industry, in any market, against any competition, at any time." . . . and holy cow, wouldn't we love to actually have a political party that could hand the Socialist-Democrats their jackasses on a plate with some reliability every election. But there's some work we're going to have to do first in order to get there.

You may recall that, a couple of days ago, I mentioned the initial Dave Agema endorsement list. I'd like to point out that not only has that list expanded considerably, but that expansion includes one very high-profile "get" that ought to, in my opinion, qualify as a major indicator of the intentions of the tea party insurgency for the Republican Party apparatus.

Break out your ever-handy Michigan Highway map and any random dark-colored Sharpie marker. Using a steady hand, trace the Sharpie along the I-69 corridor, from the Bluewater Bridge all the way through Kinderhook Township. In so doing, you've just drawn the major battle line of the Anuzis vs. Agema contest for the office of Michigan's Republican National Committeeman.

Yesterday, State Representative Dave Agema submitted his Convention Candidate Affidavit of Candidacy to the MIGOP Policy Committee (via the State Party Chairman), complete with the approval signatures of eight district chairs. Now, it's officially on. And an indication of how this campaign is going to be fought is the name that's showed up on my caller ID five times in the past 36 hours (though he somehow hasn't yet seen fit to leave a message on my voicemail).
