For the fake Tea Party of Michigan.
Mark Steffek's puppet masters, the Democrats are likely a little hung over this morning. Mark Brewer is likely cleaning off his hand and counting the pennies left after suffering another failure of epic proportions in an attempt to deceive Michiganders. The Detroit News reports that the ballot will not see the Gadsden symbol on it this November: "In light of the plaintiff's failure to strictly comply with the requirements (of state election law), plaintiff fails to establish a clear legal duty on the part of the defendant to certify the petition," the court ruled. Short of an expensive and approved emergency challenge to the MI SC, its done, over.. fin. As there is more information beginning to appear that demonstrates fraud in their efforts, a further effort to gain ballot status by the Mudhens of the Democrat party is likely to see even increased resistance. Additional attempts to move it forward have even better chances to fail. They partied hard, drank the wine of deceit, and this morning Democrat hands across the state are holding onto ceramic rings of support. In the spirit of such celebratory events, we now go below the fold. (3 comments, 530 words in story) Full Story By JGillman, Section News
the "Tea Party" of Michigan candidate slate is (as Beckmann put it) essentially the Toledo Mudhens of the Michigan Democrat Party, we can proceed with a plan of action that embraces their choices of political maneuvering.
Embrace it.. Now some of you might think that coming up with new Green Party candidates to fill the ticket might be the appropriate response. I know that the temptation to tit-for-tat gerrymandering of people's leftist tendencies is great, but we don't operate that way.. The Green Party will do that all by themselves just fine. We don't need to slip into the same deceptive methods that only bring us to their level. A good friend of ours would have agreed I think, but he is no longer able to say so. The Michigan Democrat party chief Mark Brewer has demonstrated early on, that real issues have no place in the Democrat platform. The biggest donkey in the state, is jealous of none other than poor Mr. Perks and filing a complaint to boot. Desperate? From the Ivory tower:
Michigan Democratic Party Chairman Mark Brewer -- in a fit of pique or boredom, it was hard to tell which -- announced last week that he had filed a campaign finance complaint against Leon Drolet, the Macomb County anti-tax activist and former Republican legislator now running for state Senate. I should remind folks about the Michigan Democrats trucking in a live donkey to Traverse City in support of Obamacare. The donkey was led up the crowded sidewalk before its handlers were cited for having farm animals downtown without a permit. I don't recall the disclaimer "Bar-X'd" on it's backside, though I can imagine that brand exists on Mr. Brewers'. Hey Mark? You have some of the biggest donkeys in the country in the Michigan Democrat party. Just have them run around on a trailer to balance it out.

This morning I posted an item about Michigan's own David Bandon starring in a new advertising campaign for the Ann Arbor based Domino's Pizza.
Apparently the King of Shrill, Michigan Democratic Party Chairman Mark Brewer wasn't as big a fan of the new ads. In fact, quite to the contrary, Brewer just issued a press release attacking both Brandon, Domino's and each of her thousands of Michigan employees because the CEO dares to be a political conservative... in his free time. Brewer doesn't just put politics over Michigan jobs and families, he goes as far as suggesting consumers should boycott the Michigan based pizza chain. Because their CEO is a Republican. Should conservatives boycott the Big 3 because their union employees overwhelmingly support Democrats? Heavens no. This is Michigan. We're all in this together. Or we should be... Brewer... he disagrees. But the next time the Democrats' top dog wants to run off at the mouth, trying to put a Michigan company out of business he should consider the facts: Domino's employs almost 500 Michigan moms and dads at their Ann Arbor office alone. They have over 30,000 people on the corporate payroll nationwide. Michigan is home to 73 individual Domino's locations, each owned and operated by independent entrepreneurs with each employing anywhere from twelve to twenty people. That's 1,400 more Michigan jobs. With over 4,500 franchise-owned stores across the country, Domino's employs about 100,000 Americans. And those are just the direct jobs. Consider the "spin-off" jobs the company creates. Farms (think millions of pounds of meat, cheese and vegetables), truckers, equipment manufacturers (coolers, ovens, computers, software, uniforms etc.), marketing agencies, box makers, etc etc etc etc. You get the idea. Then there's that whole "good citizen" thing, too. Just this week this Michigan company gave away nearly 4,000 slices of pizza (500 total pies) to Michiganders waiting in line for tickets to Jay Leno's "comedy stimulus show."
Do those sound like the actions of a CEO and a company that "contribute" to the economic crisis? Or a CEO and a company who've helped? Brewer's jaw-droppingly offensive (and grammatically painful) release:
Michigan Democratic Party Chair Mark Brewer today criticized Domino's CEO David Brandon's hypocrisy for the company's "Bailout" TV ads unveiled Tuesday evening. (7 comments) Comments >> By Nick, Section News
"People are very hungry for something new. I think they are interested in being called to be a part of something larger than the sort of small, petty, slash-and-burn politics that we have been seeing over the last several years."-
President Barack Obama So much for that. Detroit City Council President Monica Conyers, the wife of Congressman John Conyers (MI-14) both reminded us of how absolutely hateful Democrats can be and personally destroyed another sliver of my faith in humanity when she accosted fellow council member Kwame Kenyatta, making fun of his alleged battle with cancer while being restrained by security officers from physically attacking the man. What provoked her behavior? Kenyatta dared request that official budget proposals be made in writing. That cad. How dare he?! Read on... (6 comments, 825 words in story) Full Story
