I have more than once on this site cited a paraphrase of John F. Kennedy's warning: Those who insist on making a peaceful takeover impossible will ultimately make a takeover by revolt inevitable, and perhaps even necessary. Since we cannot seem to trust the blueblood elites in the establishment to get the message, let's go below the fold and discuss an idea to "grease the skids" for their removal from power.

Governor Rick Snyder's obsession has a little bit of a roadblock.
After the Governor attempted to subvert the will of the people and the legislature with a convoluted 'intra-local' agreement on his pet bridge project, he now finds there is no state money available for his new tool. Unless he pulls an "Obama" and violates the Michigan constitution, no money can be appropriated to the new method which has raised eyebrows with conservative leadership in the Michigan legislature. The stopping point? From the Detroit News: "The House Appropriations Committee amended a supplemental funding bill barring the Michigan Economic Development Corp. from spending general fund taxpayer money on construction or development of the proposed New International Trade Crossing. And CUT! (a little Michigan film credit humor there) Anyhow, there is ONE little point that needs to be addressed. The ability of an Intra-Local tool to even have ANY validity between nations. Would such an agreement even be legal? Our constitution says not so fast. Only the President with the consent of the US Senate can enact such contracts. From Article 2 Section 2 of the US Constitution: " .. He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States .."And given that MR Snyder is not yet our Presinerd, his will is a little ahead of itself. An 'attaboy' and thank you goes out to House Appropriations Committee members Dave Agema, Chuck Moss, Bob Genetski, Eileen Kowall, Matt Lori, Bill Rogers, Jon Bumstead, Kevin Cotter, Ken Goike, Nancy Jenkins, Peter MacGregor, Greg MacMaster, Earl Poleski, Phil Potvin, and the lone Democrat voting yes with those members, Richard LeBlanc. They have saved our state a little embarrassment for the time being. Unchecked executive authority is abuse. (5 comments) Comments >> By Kevin Rex Heine, Section News
I have, my entire adult life, desired to accomplish one thing above all others. Beyond what normal men might find worth aspiring to, I have always wanted to win one when it really mattered. To just once be the guy it all rides on when it's on the line . . . and deliver the goods. To slay the dragon, save the world, and get the girl . . . film at eleven. To, for one moment in time, have my "A game" firing on all cylinders . . . and be utterly unstoppable.
However, God, in his wisdom, has heretofore seen fit to withhold from me such success . . . until last weekend.

In his book, "The Five Dysfunctions of a Team," Patrick Lencioni writes:
"If you could get all the people in an organization rowing in the same direction, you could dominate any industry, in any market, against any competition, at any time." . . . and holy cow, wouldn't we love to actually have a political party that could hand the Socialist-Democrats their jackasses on a plate with some reliability every election. But there's some work we're going to have to do first in order to get there.

I haven't had a lot to say about Saul Anuzis other than that which needed to be said about the "Dele-Gate" scam.
For that reason, and the NPV issue, I have decided I do not care much for Mr. Anuzis all that much. The NPV thing, I have known about and did not consider it too awful until realizing how close it is to screwing over our country, (ever-vigilant, check) and leaving the decision of who our commander in chief will be to NY, and California voters pretty much by themselves. The "Dele-Gate" thing was/is far worse in my view, and demonstrated the worst level of politics, and frankly makes the Mi GOP look simply corrupt going into the most important election of our lifetime. "Just a few bad apples," as they say. Yeah, we (this forum for the most part) supported Saul for the NRC top spot. And at the time for all we knew, we were right. He is a likeable guy, understands the use of technology better than most, and knows the players. After looking at Priebus and the NRC position on NPV, we should be thanking God for a solid denial of that goal. Elections matter as they say. Even those inter party ones. And the convention events beginning tomorrow are bringing out Saul's 'tech' talents. Perhaps even his true character? ~ Below the fold (8 comments, 1849 words in story) Full Story By Kevin Rex Heine, Section News
Because I couldn't have said it better myself, I wanted to share with you an e-mail that I received from State Representative Tom McMillin a couple of hours ago.
