Remember back during the 2006 campaign when Jennifer Granholm and John Cherry traveled the state telling folks they had a plan and they were "working that plan and we're working it and we're working it and we're working it?"

Whatever that meant.

Apparently their plan was to kill a lot of Michigan jobs. Suppose today's news makes them awfully proud. The Associated Press reports that Michigan's unemployment rate skyrocketed from 8.7 percent in September to a staggering, decades worst 9.3% in October.

All told, Michigan has lost 74,000 jobs in the last year alone.

How's that plan coming, you two?

In March 2000, Michigan reached an historic LOW unemployment rate of 3.2%.

Who was governor back then? Anyone wanna venture a guess??

And who was also firmly ensconced running our state legislature? Again, any guesses?

And what do the wise and brilliant voters of the state of Michigan do on 11/4/2008? Oh, they give even more House seats to the Dems. The same party that gave us a 9.3% unemployment rate have been rewarded with even more power.

It looks like he's going to wave goodbye to his chairmanship -- a "secret vote" (according to ABC) shows he's set to lose 22-25 to Waxman, flaming liberal and nostril-hair model from California.

It's nice to know Democrats in DC have such great respect for Michigan. /sarc

I don't get it folks. The Guv promised us she would " BLOW US AWAY" It's working isn't it?

The only time soon the unemployment rate in this state will drop is when more people leave to find employment elsewhere!!

I am still here is that there is no one to buy my house. It appears that Gov.Job Killer doesn't understand that unemployed people don't buy homes and stay in Michigan.

Governor Granholm,

As a taxpayer and small business owner in Michigan, I've noticed that you've been working hard to implement your plan for improving Michigan's economy.

Please stop.

Yes, immediately. Stop now, before you make another plan. Don't do it, even if you really want to. Please stop right this minute.

I'm certain that you've done everything you can possibly do to the Michigan economy at this point. Of course, I must admit that I also thought this same thought back in 2007, and look how much further down the road we've gone since then! It is amazing what a few Democrats in power can do when they put their minds to it!

I wasn't kidding, please stop.
