Pay attention to what is going on in Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan.

Our legislators, our governor, our management team running the state needs support.  They need encouragement, they need your civil words ringing in their heads with every stroke of a pen, every yea or nay, with every debated word.

Disagree?  Good.  Let them know why you disagree, explain the logic in clear unmistakable language that soothes the chaotic premises some of our lawmakers seem to take with them in their operations of daily affairs in Lansing and DC as well.  Remind them why they were elected, and how they campaigned, and how votes or acts that seem contradictory will put them opposite the ideas used to get them where they are.

Please don't call them names.  At least not OUR guys.  Save that for the dirtbag Dems.  Save it for the bizzarro world rejects that stupid people vote for.  Save the poison for those who bleed poison.

    ~ more below ~

I had a near miss up here.  I was branded an extremist (by some local Republicans) before winning the primary against a Republican opponent who didn't always vote in a way that seemed ..'republican.'  After entering the race, I discovered a few things more about him.  One was that he is/was a tea party supporter.  Even while doing what I disagreed with, he was finding a place of comfort with those who were challenging the hard left shift.

Perhaps he could have learned.  Probably not while in office, but he was listening.

There is a time to go hard core animus on people.  Even the Republican people.  But carefully choose those times so that when it happens it has real meaning.  Even when I dish out the 'meatpuppet' comments about our perpetually insipid, and utterly extreme failure, US senator Dummy Stabenow,  I wonder if I am going a bit far.  At what point do people just say "meh, seen that line before.."?

Call our guys up, and call them out if you must, but have your facts ready.  Demonstrate to them you mean business by pummeling them with reality.  They'll likely be thankful.  Give them a base, a chair if you will to sit on, instead of offering them nothing, and watching them fall.

My own rhetoric causes some who are absolutely conservative but are willing to concede ground to the left because emotions drive them there, to be cautious. When I can talk to them and explain my positions clearly, its what they have been looking for.  Logic, reasoned arguments, and a lack of open hostility to one or two perceived disagreements can cement a solid conservative response and action set.

Continue to be provocative, but focus on your targets with an understanding of what you want your results to be. Firm, without anger, or any detectable disdain.

There is going to be a lot of chaos very soon, and we need to be in more of a state of solidarity.  I do not believe the inadequate form of liberalism that promotes inconsistent action will firm up very well under a great deal of pressure from our new reality of higher energy costs, lower employment numbers, and failed governments.  I DO believe we have an opportunity as educators of conservatism to sharpen our teaching skills, and draw in the stragglers.

Michigan's newly elected Senate And House needs reasoned debate, information, and support from us.  Even our governor likely wants to do what is right, and frankly I would bet he signs nearly ANYTHING the current legislature puts on his plate.

Engage them on the issues, with the explanations, the truth.  And sooner than later.

...but, and here's the real crux of the matter, of which, you answered yourself.

Perhaps he could have learned.  Probably not while in office, but he was listening.

If that is the way it has to be again in 2012, so be it.  I'm sorry, but when our surrounding Rustbelt states are framing movement away from an archaic ideology of public sector collective bargaining born in a evanescent day of industrial dominance wages in the Midwest, and then to have us in Michigan not uniting along with them is pure insanity.  It is obvious that what now appears as our bifurcate-tongued Governor Snyder in his willful violation of listening to his legislatures "everything on the table" beginnings.  Furthermore, Speaker Bolger could not have more adeptly put his following statement:

But there's also "the sense of responsibility and the expectations of the people of the state of Michigan," he said.

"They deserve better than they've gotten and we have to make sure we deliver the results," Bolger said.  "We have no excuses."

Yessiree.  No excuses.  Yet, when push comes to shove, nothing but excuses now seemingly pervade the spines of Lansing GOP sent with our mandate of delivering results.  Zero gained revisionism business tax?  Income tax increases discharging set rollbacks from the highest income tax rate in the history of this state?  Reduction of the homestead property tax credit?  A minuscule 0.38% of the proposed budget in "savings" on public unions that still would yet have to be negotiated to attempt to "bring their compensation in-line"?  Another $47 billion budget proposed that is ballooned to the size of Jennifer Granholm's final budget?

That is absurd!  We still deserve better.

Riddle me this my friend.  When did what is written here on RightMichigan.com become unsatisfactory in regards to what I read as many contributors here, a distaste of what they are now witnessing from a very, very message sending "turn the state red" 2010 election?

Don't get me wrong, I do receive the message relayed.  However, the frustration, or poison as referred to, is being enabled by Lansing itself.  From my own perspective... if my representation requires as such the necessity of holding ones hand to do what is right when in the face of opposition of actuality, well, then my representation will soon suffer the loss of my support, or vote.  This again, I cannot emphasize strongly enough, in the consequences of what the now Democrat minority in Lansing brought upon itself in the resulting 2010 election.  Nor can I emphasize the future consequences strong enough to a so far ineffectual GOP Majority presiding over Lansing for the nearing election in 2012.

As what I consider a wise man with what he wrote:

Even while doing what I disagreed with, he was finding a place of comfort with those who were challenging the hard left shift.

Perhaps he could have learned.  Probably not while in office, but he was listening.

Yep.  Unless the course corrects in Lansing, replacements are the answer.

To the lawmakers across the Fruited Plain is this. When in doubt look to Reagan. What would he do. Beyond that the Founders were pretty smart guys all in all no matter what the era they lived in. They had the answers then and now. Look to what they invisioned for America. Then remember two words.
    FREEDOM and LIBERTY.
Give us the FREEDOM to create wealth with our own hands based on the ideas that move us. Let us have LIBERTY from the interference of the Marxist Apparacheks by realizing the idea that the FOUNDERS had of limited, very limited Government. Give us the FREEDOM to achieve without having to jump through dozens of hoops to arrive at a place that common sense dictated should have not taken so much red tape.
The other thing is the Turd needs to get his ass out and tell us what his plan is. What he intends to do. Not in general terms but hard facts and points set for achievment. No more of this bullshitting around. He either gets it or he doesn't. If not then he is toast come 2014 or before. Enough said.
