Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    He's the guy right?

THE guy... Who is now arguably one of the most powerful players in the state.

While Michigan enjoys a brief respite from its Democrat domination, we have the opportunity to 'fix' a number of things that are wrong, that have been created by the blown away mentality of the left, and their queen.  We have the ONE CHANCE to enact legislation that will fundamentally change the way Michigan does business.  Perhaps in ways that some would have liked to do before, but were considered 'third rail' because of the politics and thuggery in Lansing.

Allow me to borrow a little from our Governor elect's saying... we have to "Reinvent Michigan"

And it will take a little more courage than what we might have come to expect.

What legislation would YOU like to see get through the new gatekeeper, who by some accounts has a cozy relationship with labor based interests? What is it that would HELP Michigan, but may never have a chance outside the new majorities in the House and Senate?

What is it that conservatives can offer as unique, and problem solving ideas, that will change Michigan from a state that drives business away, to a state that embraces new markets, creates opportunities, and fosters entrepreneurship?

And how can we make sure the new senate leader, Randy Richardville allows such things to reach the governor's desk?

    Consider this an Open thread.

...repealing the smoking ban from bars, private organizations/clubs e.i. VFW's, American Legions, Moose, Eagles, and sport venues such as bowling alleys.

    Cost to implement?  Zero.

An increase in business revenue?  Yep.

-- point to records showing Club Keno sales have shrunk $21.5 million during the first three months of the ban, while liquor sales at bars and restaurants are down $1.8 billion.

Restoration of private property rights?  Absolutely.

too much. I heard a replay of a Tim Skubik analysis of the selection of Richardville on WTCM-AM yesterday at a news break. Skubik was breathlessly reporting that Gretchen Witmer is happy with the selection of Richardville because in her estimation he's easier to work with (malleable?) than was Mike Bishop.

The voters need to be assured that good and honest government is the objective in Michigan not party loyalty. This can be achieved by radio commentators like Frank Beckman (WJR) and Norm Jones (WTCM) on their blowtorch outlets. It can be facilitated by we the people when we continue to show up, call up, demand that these polticians do what we want them to do. They work for us and people need to understand that at every level of the process.

I think one positive is the conservative credentials of the rest of the leadership team.  Sen.-elect Meekhof is as conservative as they come and he has the number two spot.  Sens-elect Hildenbrand and Schuitmaker will also play large roles and they have pretty good records as well.

It's time to start looking at ways to defund or abolish Michigan's Department of Civil Rights.

When the government can forcefully enter our own homes and not only tell us who we can choose to rent a room (roommate) to, but also penalize us too, that branch of government needs to be leashed or eliminated.

Harold Core, director of public affairs with the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, told the Grand Rapids Press that the Fair Housing Act prevents people from publishing an advertisement stating their preference of religion, race or handicap with respect to the sale or rental of a dwelling.

"It's really difficult to say at this point what could potentially happen," he told the newspaper, noting that there are exemptions in the law for gender when there is a shared living space.

Bullsh!t!  This is nothing more than an out and out attack on Christianity and our Bill of Rights.

See bottom of page here.  Be sure to click on the "Muslim Roommates" image.

And, these despicable @ssholes have 2 years to decide whether or not they're going to sue the homeowner that was seeking a Christian roommate in a church?

    F'ing disgusting.

I would like to see Tasers/stun guns made legal. I know it's not on most peoples priority list but I believe people should be allowed to defend themselves regardless of whether or not they can use a firearm. Just my opinion.
