For every action, there is an opposite and deliberate reaction.

Its pretty bad when a KOS contributor decorates the wall of RightMichigan.com with an underlying truth.
In the side twitter bar the question "What? After paying for #AFP/#RTW #Tentgate 2012 Dick DeVos' Greg McNeilly now anti-#MITeaParty?" appears. Having been a part of the RTW/FTW effort, I must say I was quite pleased with the impetus placed on FTW in Dec 2012 by Dick DeVos and Ron Weiser, without which, it might never have happened. But it isn't a free pass for the abuses laid out by operatives of the GOP, and in particular the MiGOP club which doubled down on the national slaparound the tea folk have been getting from media and complicit (Vichy) Republicans. December 2012 WAS important though. Snyder at the time might have even overcome a bit of the reaction to the Prop 2 debacle by Michigan's labor unions, but a reminder that anything he had done good was outweighed by cronyism, unilateral international transactions, and the promise of tax increases that moved him. Truthfully, if not for Weiser and DeVos RTW might never have come to be. It never was a part of Rick Snyder's agenda, and never really will be heart-fought from ongoing union boss opposition. Remember that. Something those two saw that the governor could care less about, was the strength of the Tea party movement within the GOP construct. There was a very real possibility that the governor, sans a significant policy delivery to the base, would face a primary challenge (perhaps by the sitting AG) thus creating a divide in the 'acceptable' GOP hierarchy. The AG, already on record as opposing the Obamacare Exchanges, Medicaid Expansion, and showing significant support among the Tea types worried the power brokers. And those "wackos" were brought under control, right?

Rick Snyder wants this in Michigan? Why yes, yes he does.
The provision was approved by the House last week prior to the Mackinac Policy Conference, where keynote speakers Michelle Rhee and Jeb Bush warned legislators that pulling back from the standards could have serious consequences. 37 House R's are despicable and need to lose the seat in Lansing. The title says it all.
You can believe the well produced propaganda piece on Michigan's new-found prosperity, OR you can observe what has been happening to the men and women and families that feed us. No amount of Rah-Rah for right to work (which I support tremendously) and budgets done on time can take away the rotten stink of tyranny that comes through our state's administrative efforts. As far as the bureaucratic 'rule makers' are concerned, the peasantry is far to pitiful to fear, except for a few trouble makers. A few troublemakers, merely following tradition by doing what generations have done to make the country healthy and prosperous. Farmers, who like any other business that must inevitably deal with an onslaught of government intrusion into their affairs, making a mockery of presumed prophylactic and protective measures for the public good. Family Farmers, like other mom and pop business ventures who have had the oxygen sucked out of their existence by expansive government till they fall one by one. Veteran Mark Baker of Baker's Green Acres is the equivalent of today's canary-in-the-coal-mine that is Michigan. Except THIS bird isn't dying to tell you the oxygen has left the premises. His words are straight up and easy to understand.
Snyder inherited this issue from the former governor. When he was Rick Snyder's office needs daily calls, and to be sure, he needs to be a One Term Nerd. (2 comments) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
Team Snyder doesn't give two whits about the constitution, perspective of GOP objectives, or the platform of the party.
What an incredible opportunity this 'shutdown' offers us, yet all that they can come up with is self congratulatory political 'twerking'. Rather than applaud a stand for what most republicans profess as their principles, the nerd sycophant unit offers underhanded criticism to the one thing that is going as it should. Greg McNeilly self proclaimed 'decider' of whom might be an "invasive species", or "Malcontent, magpie", et.. Falls short of identifying the Obama/Reid cabal which has in fact been solely responsible for the shutdown in DC: "There could not be a stronger contrast between the actions of Gov. Snyder and the House and Senate Republicans and the irresponsibility of Washington, D.C. politicians. Michigan's responsible leaders balanced the budget months ahead of schedule, put money aside for a rainy day and still ended up with a surplus. This from a press release about an hour ago.
Gosh Greggie, we are so impressed! And Real leadership like this deserves an award.
Will a burning paper bag with mystery contents (hint .. you might want to use an old shoe to stomp it out.) outside the front door be sufficient? By JGillman, Section News
Its been inspiring to watch Senator Ted Cruz and REAL patriots talk on the Senate floor all night long.
Pushing into the 20th hour and still going strong, there appears to be clear differences where our state GOP is as compared to the party leadership nationally. About 19 hours ago Reince Priebus Chair of the national GOP tweets: From our own party leadership? Crickets. Nothing. Nada. Below the fold are screen shots of the only Michigan political social media efforts on twitter. (5 comments, 127 words in story) Full Story By JGillman, Section News
The wound in the Michigan Republican Party needs some cleaning.
Though centrists, moderates, center left types wish to call Conservatives 'purists', we reject that notion. The request that some form of substance is present, or that at least minimally, or that a reasonable alignment with the platform of the Party be observed should not label Conservative Republicans in that way. Even within our own ranks we have many unique visions of what the Party should be, while still agreeing on one aspect; that it is different from the Democrat Party. While recognizing the good he has done, we should note that there is nothing so special (including the coveted RTW) that wouldn't have happened with any other Republican at the helm; a fact also emphasized with the realization that another Republican would have been FAR MORE effective in many areas of fiscal responsibility and responsible governance. Conservative Republican activists across the state have opined, and a few are quoted in the release noting they will not support Rick Snyder in the general if he is the party nominee. We are in the process of disinfecting a very deep wound, and though some wait for an "awkward" statement with 'baited breath', those same persons might be wise to consider the possibility that the wiser and older Conservative Republican Party members actually have a clue what principles are, and how to apply them. And that the Bactine sometimes stings for a bit when applying liberally. But when it is all said and done, the healing will begin. By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Yessirree, Jerry even lost his own state. Nobody buys Democrat-lite when the real thing costs the same vote. Fact. (4 comments) Comments >>
