Truly a loss to the GOP if Betsy DeVos remains committed to her recent effort of removing Dave Agema from the position of Republican National Committeeman.
There was a reason he won the position in the first place; as someone who would hold TRUE to conservative Republican principles, and strengthen them in the national platform. While the establishment Republicans are decrying Democrats as "bad," Committeeman Agema was rebuilding the foundation so Republicans could say why. Real fiscal restraint, real solutions aimed at preserving families and traditions that have made this country great. And the feeble sensibilities of an offended malcontent within the party continuously stirs up sympathy for the other side's (progressive Dems for those of you who remain unsure) point of view? "Hey look at me! I am a Republican and I don't like your stand on what I like to do, so you better tolerate my perverse lifestyle or I will forever more divide the party until I get what I want! You can call it a big tent if you want."And like the 'Tasmanian Devil' of the cartoon world, shredding the bonds of good conservatives, and instilling doubt upon the conscience of a party that once at least as a promise, stood for decency and honor. When moral restraint is removed in one way, it certainly follows that the caps are off in others too.

Bub?
OK, in the last couple of days, I have railed on about transparency, and frankly have had to go on offense, in defense of Ruth Johnson's courageous suggestion. I will admit to being a little reactionary because of the dunderhead commentary of McNeilly and his faux front, "Freedom Fund,"(click on the link, its a tension breaker) but still hold to the standards described. That flatly, we should aspire to true openness. The language added to exceptions of regulated monies under SB661 (Amending the Michigan campaign finance act) is clearly a push back on Johnson's intention to open those shuttered windows into shadowy financing and advocacy. The added exemption reads: "(j) An expenditure for a communication if the communication does not in express terms advocate the election or defeat of a clearly identified candidate so as to restrict the application ofthis act to communications containing express words of advocacy of election or defeat, such as "vote for", "elect", "support", "cast your ballot for", "Smith for governor", "vote against", "defeat", or "reject".Making sure she cannot pursue transparency on this as is allowed under the constitution of the US and the state. It limits her statutorily. Many on the conservative side are actually a little more concerned however about THIS little gem. Lines struck out from the MCFA read: With no replacement language. Golly, what might the establishment be up to? (4 comments) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
Only the perpetually stupid could continue to ignore this.
The unapologetic praise for a system that holds no chance of meeting promises made and already broken, is continuing unabated. The use of the term Obamacare as an endearing term, instead of the official title "Affordable Care Act." Appropriately connecting the dots from Obamacare to Medicaid expansion; a feat that be performed only with enablers and collaborators in our State Senate and House. When the bleeding edge of the socialist/fascist movement in this country praises our governor for expanding welfare; a move that promises to explode in our face in 3 years time? Yet losing the seat to a Democrat is the fear that would keep cowardly Republicans voting for Rick Snyder? Could anyone remind us all here why his winning really matters again? The MiGOP Congressional types who sold us down the river, and probably created a constitutional crisis while at it.
Camp - Surrender Benishek - Surrender Upton - Surrender Rogers - Surrender To the above folks, we ask "Why bother to go to Washington?" or "Why be a Republican at all? To win races?" Benishek especially, given the support he NEEDS to even think about winning. A very real possibility: 48-40 loss in next years general (if you make it that far) to Jerry Cannon. Sorry buddy. I'll let you guess at where the odd votes go. As for Upton, Camp, and Rogers? Not really surprised. Safe districts, but might still face primary challenges.
Those MiGOP Congressional types who did us right. There are so many tests to fail, but this one you passed with flying BOLD colors. (the nay votes) (2 comments) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
Last, and most certainly not least is the guy who had his name plastered in the background of all the other video announcements.
I have had several video segments from an event on Mackinac Island with candidates in a fundraiser. The Madison Project PAC, and Jack Hoogendyk have been seeking REAL Republicans to support for legislative positions, and much like our $100 project are supportive of primary efforts that bring conservative values into play. Gary Glenn, who shepherded Right To Work in Idaho in 1985, and has been a stalwart supporter/participant of Michigan's effort is looking to gain Michigan's 98th district house seat. Gary wrapped up the "pickle bucket" stump round up on the island in this clip.

Yet another video from the Mackinac conference remains!
As mentioned in earlier posts, I had several video segments from an event on the island with candidates in a fundraiser. The Madison Project PAC, and Jack Hoogendyk are seeking REAL Republicans for legislative positions, and much like our $100 project are supportive of primary efforts that bring conservative values into play. Next in the series is Tom Barrett running for the 71st district house seat.

Apparently Congressman Tim Walberg (CD7) has been answering constituent phone calls this week as Congress works on limited resources during the government shutdown.
"It's all hands on deck for me and my staff - and that includes me helping with phone calls - as operations have been limited by the [Democrat controlled] Senate's unwillingness to discuss a compromise with the House. Most callers are appreciative that I'm here to listen to what they have to say as I work towards finding solutions to fund the government. My staff and I remain committed to providing excellent constituent and legislative services during this difficult period."emphasis mine. Rep Walberg is also encouraging constituents to send him at email with their comments and concerns at: https://walberg.house.gov/contact/contactform.htm. There are ample opportunities for other congressmen from Michigan to keep us informed here as well. hint hint By JGillman, Section Multimedia
