The 'nuclear option' is at hand.  Surrender is not an option, and any funding for Obamacare is an endorsement of it. Any federal overreach such as this MUST be pushed back by our representatives in whatever way available.  If the last resort is a shutdown of an extra-constitutional government so-be-it.  No Republican principles are served in the absence of courage. Kentucky voters are rightfully advised to talk to their US Senator who will be up for his seat next year.

And THESE Guys need to hear from you as well.

Michigan

We placed the names of those who supposedly stand for responsible government, and would have presumably known their power, upon these pages.  We pointed out how they buckled to the deceiver in the white house, and perpetuated the burden on our children ad finitum.  The faces and names have only been slightly changed,but here we go again, seeing the inability to recognize where the lines must be drawn. It was Congressman Dan Benishek, Congressman Bill Huizenga, Congressman Dave Camp, Congressman Fred Upton, Congressman Tim Walberg, Congressman Mike Rogers, Congresswoman Candice Miller, and the notorious Congressman Thaddeus McCotter who allowed the debt ceiling to increase.

No line in the sand was drawn, no ultimatum, just a stupid deal that we have understood for the last several months to be a "fiscal cliff" of automatic cuts, punishments, reductions, tax increases, etc. The obvious toilet bowl baby of massive proportion, baked up by the usual suspects. And rubber stamped on the foreheads of the dummies who call themselves Republican from the list above.

Redemption requires a real change of heart.  

Amash played it right the first time.  He understood that the Marxists in the other chamber, and specifically the thug holding the executive office could not be trusted without limits being placed on them.  The debt, the spending, the taxation, and all the graft accompanying this most recent development changed nothing, but in fact buys the urn in which the ashes of our constitution will reside.  The good representative needs no remorse, for he has served his office well.

He was joined in resisting the less than acceptable bludgeon to common sense and morality that Congress has dealt tonight.

Justim Amash, Tim Walberg, and Bill Huizinga, were alone out of our Michigan contingent to vote against being steam rolled. They voted against a package that raises taxes, spends MORE and does NOTHING to solve the debt or the deficit that we will likely never see an end to; at least until the collapse of our currency. Walberg and Huizinga have recognized the stakes in allowing the future of our country to be defined by the other side.

Dave Camp, Fred Upton, Candace Miller, and Dan Benishek? Just plain pathetic, weak, and merely useless.

     

Perhaps deserving of another spot on the wall.

Yessirree, it was Richard "I Never Met A Big Government Program That I Didn't Like" Nixon who mandated National Flood Insurance in 1973, further entangling folks to bureaucracy created floodplain schemes if you'd like a mortgage.

So, who were the Michigan Republicans that kicked the fleecing can down the road?  Benishek, Camp, Huizenga, McCotter, Rogers, Upton, and Walberg voting in lockstep with nanny government entitlement Democrats Clarke, Conyers, Dingell, Kildee, Levin, and Peters.

And they still get their nose all out of joint with wondering why they end up in places like here?  Go figure.

Washington, DC- Friday, Congressman Walberg issued the following statement after voting against H.R. 2055, the Conference Report to fund the federal government for the rest of the fiscal year.

"It's positive that Congress reduced discretionary spending for the second year in a row, the first time since World War II, but with the magnitude of our fiscal challenges, this appropriations bill did not go far enough in reducing federal government spending," commented Congressman Walberg following the vote.

Thank you for your vote Representative Walberg.  As you must now realize allowing the debt to increase will only make your job and the jobs of all American citizens harder in the years to come.  Please continue to hold the line, and demonstrate the difference between the fiscally sane conservative Republican route, and the socially progressive fiscally insane Democrat rout of our constitutional government.

And while you are at it pull along a few more.

There isn't a Republican congressman who occupied its space who was not made aware of it often by supporters or those who wanted to put it in their face as a means of showing disapproval.

The wall is now empty for the time being, yet the violation of principle must be acknowledged in a more permanent way.  As a means of keeping more permanently the record of the occupiers and their decision to saddle our future with more debt, I am making it into a post (this post) that will be searchable forevermore.  As I wrote:

"This wall  is not because we hate you guys, but because we respected and counted on you.  Conservatives expect bad legislation out of progressives and the Democrats.  Getting along just cannot cut it anymore. Shape up and "know your power."

"It's been an amazing conference," said Michigan Republican Party Chairman Bobby Schostak. "The enthusiasm from our grassroots and from our elected officials is outstanding, and our attendees experienced it first-hand."

"This conference will pay huge dividends for our state and our country," Schostak said. "We will work with our leaders and our grassroots to continue to reinvent Michigan."

This year's conference incorporated numerous events, including addresses and appearances by Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, Texas Governor Rick Perry, Congressmen Thad McCotter, and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus.

Besides Snyder, Michigan's Republican leadership on the island included Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley, Secretary of State Ruth Johnson, Attorney General Bill Schuette, House Speaker Jase Bolger, Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville, and Congressmen Dave Camp, Candice Miller, Dan Benishek, Fred Upton, Tim Walberg, Bill Huizenga, and Justin Amash.

Many elected officials participated in panel discussions focused on making Michigan a job-growth engine.

"Republican activists had an outstanding conversation and we will continue the discussion throughout the upcoming year.  Our relentless positive action continues to drive success for all Michigan families."

There is the inability of our leadership to just say "forget about it" when their opponents suggest lifting caps, and spending more of our children's soon to be taxed heavily again inheritances.  There is a weakness when it comes to doing the right thing like throwing out a few babies with bathwater.  There is a real lack of courage coming from our Republicans IMO.

But I am not yet giving up.

Sure, I would like to see the cap held. No more! Stop! Cease!  But in the spirit of "compromise" the house gave a little. In fact, the bill sent through would have still allowed a minimum of $2.5 trillion increase in the debt, adding both principle and of course the expected financing measures.

And the senate said nah, not good enough.

So frankly, to heck with them. Its time that Michigan's congressional delegation simply takes a stand. One that is solidly for NO increase in the debt. None. Nada.
