Jason, in this post you have college students who are courageous enough to declare to their campus they are conservative Republicans--that's not easy.  So they attended a nonpartisan PAC event that had Sen. Whitmer at it?  So what?  They don't need to be attacked by conservatives for taking a picture.  I have attended events Democrats spoke at.  Sen. Bruce Patterson also spoke at it.  Nobody can question Sen. Patterson's conservative credentials.  This is my problem with Right Michigan these days.  You are so eager to attack fellow conservatives.   I don't fault these college students for listening to Whitmer.  If they endorse her liberal ideas that's another story.   But there's nothing wrong with understanding her thinking on issues.  Sometimes you cannot tell the difference between RightMichigan and Michiganliberal and that's too bad.  Republicans aren't perfect and there are valid policy criticisms.  But the tenor and tone coupled with the quick trigger is not helpful.

Actually, Useful Idiot Gretchen kinda serves a purpose.

She told the body, "I would like to thank the senator from the 32nd District for making the most compelling argument that he could for a part-time Legislature."

Bam!  Couldn't possibly agree more with the Socialist baby aborting "equality" Minority Party Leader in the Senate.

    I guess Jason Gillman is a RINO too (none / 0) (#22)

Ahh, the young Gillman troll is at it again.  I guess you forgot that your pops is also a RINO, since he posed with a Democrat baby killer:

Is there RINO in the blood, Gillman?

Yannow, something just p!ssed me right off when I first read the reactionary attacking Bee-esS from Stu Sandler (well known, and now confirmed douche bag), in that there was this sense of deja vu with College Republicans RINO activities, which is highlighted in this post by Conservative First.

Upton supporters flooded local newspapers with letters supporting Upton and attacking Jack, using the talking points outlined above.  One fellow sent the same letter to three different papers.  Many of the letter-senders are or were part of the College Republicans [emphasis mine] at University of Michigan  and Western Michigan University (how the mighty have fallen).

The largest circulation paper in the 6th district is the Kalamazoo Gazette, which is part of a group of papers whose hosted at a single website, Mlive.com.  Any time it ran a story about the race, a number of commenters would post comments praising Upton and attacking Jack using the points listed above.  A little investigation identified 12 accounts that posted such comments almost exclusively; I dubbed them the "Upton trolls".  In fact, nine of the accounts were created on January 17, the day that Jack announced he was running.  Several of the accounts were subsequently deleted for violating Mlive's terms of use, while still others were created later.

One of the Upton trolls ventured over to RightMichigan.com, Michigan's leading conservative website, and posted a piece repeating many of the same smears.  The regular contributors quickly tore it apart in the comments.  A few days later, Upton sent out an email reproducing the piece and using RightMichigan's logo, but (unlike previous emails) with no link to the original piece.

The photo with Gretchen is such a natural setting for College Republicans.  It's a pity to watch this new indoctrinated generation that are that dumb, and they don't even know it.

    Whitmer photo op (none / 0) (#35)

I don't have a problem with young Republicans at CMU talking to and getting a picture with the lovely Gretchen Whitmer, but in my opinion she represents the worst of all that progressive benevolence has to offer.

She is the true believer.  She is the caretaker.  She is an advocate for a caring government that provides for those who struggle, thirst, need a car, a house, a good babysitter, an education, a phone, good health, safety in all places except the womb, and a defined bubble through which no offense can be perceived.

    Because she cares!

Yet her aggressive caring helps to perpetuates
a growing number of slovenly and needy subjects content to dip their nose ever more deeply in her trough of taxpayer funded benevolent slop.

Make no mistake, this country has turned tens of millions of perfectly capable human beings into dependents.  These sad souls not only are a drag on the rest of us, crippling the economy, destroying wealth, hobbling innovation, and pushing ever more productive Americans toward financial collapse, but worse, they themselves make it almost impossible for the rest of us to bestow true benevolence on the sliver of society that God commands that we take care of.

This is nothing to be proud of, yet this is
    Gretchen's legacy.

    She is quite pretty though.
