I don't have a problem with young Republicans at CMU talking to and getting a picture with the lovely Gretchen Whitmer, but in my opinion she represents the worst of all that progressive benevolence has to offer.
She is the true believer. She is the caretaker. She is an advocate for a caring government that provides for those who struggle, thirst, need a car, a house, a good babysitter, an education, a phone, good health, safety in all places except the womb, and a defined bubble through which no offense can be perceived.
Because she cares!
Yet her aggressive caring helps to perpetuates
a growing number of slovenly and needy subjects content to dip their nose ever more deeply in her trough of taxpayer funded benevolent slop.
Make no mistake, this country has turned tens of millions of perfectly capable human beings into dependents. These sad souls not only are a drag on the rest of us, crippling the economy, destroying wealth, hobbling innovation, and pushing ever more productive Americans toward financial collapse, but worse, they themselves make it almost impossible for the rest of us to bestow true benevolence on the sliver of society that God commands that we take care of.
This is nothing to be proud of, yet this is
Gretchen's legacy.
