Why he would choose a time like this to promote (and also duck) these issues is beyond me.
Much like last night when everyone was using Perry like a piñata over his sweetheart deal with Merck & Willard over his proto-Obamacare plan, no one who calls themselves a republican should ever assert that the government has any role whatsoever in anyone's health. Even with "tweaks" for our own good (as if that wasn't patronizing).
Yeah, yeah I know, Snyder's not really a republican and only hijacked the republican race because it was the quickest way for him to actually get elected.
Freedom to work should be a no-brainer. It's starting to get the local unions worried because they are now leaning on the local city councils (as seen on local TV last week) to oppose FTW.
Teachers, but no one else?!? Puh-leeze!
Kam Carmen made a great point near the end of the clip.
Just where the hell does Mr. Relentless Positive Action get off shaking down Michigan taxpayers all in the name of "fairness", yet has the audacity to claim that it takes money to attract quality people for various positions??? This reminded me of that kid whom asked what I thought was the best question last night:
"My name is Tyler Hensley (ph). I'm from Napa , California . My -- well, first of all, thank you guys for coming out tonight. My question is, out of every dollar that I earn, how much do you think that I deserve to keep?"
Just so were clear, I 100% support the part about pay. It makes sense in the private sector, it'll also make sense in the public. But unlike the Michigan republicans who were in a kool aid induced stupor over the number of taxes they supported, much like what Perry did in Texas (and one of the things I like about him), I would've made those savings from budget cuts rather than tax hikes.
OABTW, if you really want to give the guv a piece of your mind over this and anything else, he'll be at a town hall in GR tonight @ 7:00pm
I don't know if it will be a real town hall that was open to everyone, or if it will be a dog-and-pony show like Granholm did.
Hopefully, we'll find out later.
