Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

...they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

This congressional election should be rather entertaining.

Saying new leadership is needed in Washington, D.C., Sen. Bert Johnson, D-Highland Park, officially got into the race for 13th Congressional District and will likely challenge veteran U.S. Rep. John Conyers.

Hmmm, a feeble old socialist that won't talk about that Papas deep injection well and whose wifey is locked up in the Federal pen, or...

Johnson served in the state House of Representatives from 2005-10 and was elected to the state Senate in 2010. He said he expects to raise up to $600,000 for the race.

One thing he'll have to face is a 1993 conviction of armed robbery, which he calls a "transgression" when he was 19 and working as a golf caddy at the Oakland Hills Country Club.

So, working in the burb's sticking guns in peoples faces is some silly "transgression".

    But wait, there's more!

Transgressions are in abundance at every age.

Deal 2: Kilpatrick and his wife paid $65,000 for the house in the 4300 block of Leslie in September 1997. On Nov. 10, 2003, they sold it to Bert Johnson, now a state representative, for $155,200, a profit of $90,200. In 2006, according to 36th District Court records, a court order was obtained giving possession of the property back to the bank.

Johnson did not return an immediate call for comment. Kilpatrick hasn't been heard from publicly for weeks.

If funneling monies to Kwame backscratching deals weren't enough "transgression," howza 'bout this?

A first-term state representative who had been spotted driving on a suspended license in an unregistered car said he has obtained full restoration of his driving privileges.

Surely this must be just one of them John Conyers 'the check bounced' thingy's?

Johnson, a Democrat from Highland Park, has had a suspended license for most of the time that he has been of driving age, according to secretary of state records reviewed by the Free Press and detailed in a story Sunday.

Johnson serves on the House Insurance Committee, which oversees the regulation of auto insurance. Johnson has had at least 18 violations, mostly for speeding, and at least 24 license suspensions, the Free Press said.

Johnson, 33, had said he was unaware that the registration on the 2001 Jaguar that he was driving had expired. He said the plate would be renewed.

Doh!  Guess not.  And Whoohoo!  To be a felon still stylin' in a Jag after not paying bills on a Kwame house.  Ah yes, the Bling-bling lifestyle of a Wayne County Democrat.  And folks there keep electing 'em to Office?  F'ing amazing.

Ya, keep on dreaming that Dream, Detroit.

    ..."Wait, there's more!"

First-term State Rep. Shanelle Jackson is also running in the 13th.

What? You've never heard of her?

Why how could you NOT hear of her bill to expand Detroit's taxing power even more? I'm surprised that Gov. Snyder didn't crack open another keg of kool aid to doting House & Senate republicans earlier this year. Those wacky knuckleheads have never met a Detroit tax that they didn't like

Or her bill to give deadbeats an extra year before getting kicked out of a foreclosed house? If you're a lender holding the note, you're just plain stuck for a while.

And the best part! Guess which campaigns she worked on in '00 & '02?

Here's a hint: They'll most likely end up in jail within two years.
