    Outside Lansing blog makes some good points about the whole "How outrageous that the automaker CEOs flew to Washington in LUXURIOUS PRIVATE JETS!!!" nonsense.  If you're paying guys millions a year to run huge, complex, endangered industries, do you really want them hanging around Detroit Metro for hours waiting for a commercial flight?  Another point - this outrage meme was brought to you by the same folks who, a month ago, were busily shooting out half-truths, outright lies, and distortions about Sarah Palin.  Nuff said.

    block is indeed something that's been done for a while.

    For someone like me, I wouldn't care if someone wanted to track my flight. I can see arguments both ways though.

    That being said, the flight tracking services (flight aware, et. al.) only show aircraft that are operating on instrument flight plans. Flight following might show up, but I'm not sure.

    If you want privacy, get in a turbo prop, scud-run FL180, and be happy.
