Precinct delegates answer ringing phone to hear automated pollBy michiganrepublicanpartywatch, Section News

Various Republican precinct delegates across Michigan report to MRP Watch they were polled by an anonymous company on Tuesday between 5 and 6 p.m. The calls came from (817) 509-2400, an unlisted number in Fort Worth, Texas. When the number is called, an automated message answers, saying: "We were conducting a political poll in your area." Respondents were asked to identify their first and second choices for chairman of the Michigan Republican Party. The possible choices were Ron Weiser, Jack Hoogendyk, Paul Welday, Norm Shinkle, and Jerry Zandstra. The survey excluded Dan Tollis, who has been noticeably quiet since announcing his candidacy the day after the November 4 general election, and included Zandstra, who hasn't announced his candidacy. The third and final questioned asked respondents if they would support a consensus candidate for "party unity." This question presumably refers to Weiser, who is heavily supported by the Yob machine. This call follows a similar call first reported last month by Outside Lansing blogger Chet Zarko. At that time, the list of choices also included political consultant Suzanne Miller-Allen, 9th Congressional District Chairman Glenn Clark, former Speaker and House Minority Leader Craig DeRoche, Chuck Yob operative Scott Greenlee, and John Jamian.
