Expanding on the theme of "If you are going to take time to craft a holiday message, at least have the decency to recognize why."
Unafraid to use their official positions to recognize that the holidays exist for a reason, the following state executives stepped up and named them. Typically accessed from their government pages, and some referenced from social media, here are some more non PC greetings sure to offend the freaks of progressivism. Alaska's governor Sean Parnell has traditionally had a Christmas Video out. The newest expected anytime now. Titled "Seasons Greetings," Indiana governor Mike Pence uses "Christmas" no fewer than 6 times in three full paragraphs. Add a "Blessing" or two, and we Definitely get the message! Florida's Rick Scott posts a "Christmas" message celebrating ".. a time to celebrate the blessings that are bestowed upon us and the birth of our Lord." My Goodness, Wyoming's SOS has "Merry Christmas" and a story to go with it right up on the state's website. The Governor, Matt Mead even posts an audio "Merry Christmas."
Maine Governor Paul LePage also posts an audio "Christmas" message for Mainers (2 comments, 359 words in story) Full Story By Corinthian Scales, Section News

The upper peninsula is really not that far away from some of the largest supplies of natural gas, yet it has an emergency.
Enough so, that the Governor has signed an "emergency order" that lifts certain restrictions on propane delivery and transportation of propane only. Cold winter and reliance on a single pipeline from out of state has put Upper Peninsula residents at risk, and the solution will be 'emergency measures.' As usual: "Gov. Rick Snyder today issued Executive Order 2013-11, declaring a State of Energy Emergency in Michigan due to temporary shortages of propane in areas of the Upper Peninsula.Long term solutions however, are not being considered. With Michigan's several trillion cubic feet of KNOWN reserves, the question might be asked: "Why is Michigan at the end of a pipeline?" (5 comments) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
While Michigan gets a stale store bought pizza generic "happy Holidays", the lucky folks in Arizona get the Buddy's Pizza of Yore, Real Deal.
A 'holiday' message sent from Jan Brewer to Arizonans: "Merry Christmas!Yup. Now THAT is leadership. And how appropriate is that "Rosie the riveter" pose for this Michigan blog post? (1 comment) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
I totally get the current political landscape within the MIaGoPC'd, and the androgynous couple below is pandering to the GLAAD crowd like they think they're slick CEO's shooting fish in a Cracker Barrel but, "happy holidays"?

The Michigan state house education committee has received three bills worth checking out.
Each one promoting a better understanding of the history of our country and the reasons for its founding.
But we applaud such measures as worthy and restorative for our state and country. (6 comments) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
There is no need to recap things leading up to the A&E debacle with regard to Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the Duck Dynasty clan.
However, since then, and in only a day's time, more people have declared they are standing with Phil on a single Facebook page, than have signed up for Obamacare. Over ONE MILLION likes in 24 hours hardly says this nation is tired of traditional values.
A&E is perfectly within its right to censure Mr Robertson of course. They are within their right to stand with the 2% of the population that is disproportionately affected by venereal disease and confusion with our developing youth. They are perfectly within their right to commit programming suicide to salve the sensibilities of the overly emotional Eloi who base their identities on acts that defy nature's (God's) laws. So tonight (December 19, 2013 - 7:13pm) the family Robertson has responded. We want to thank all of you for your prayers and support. The family has spent much time in prayer since learning of A&E's decision. We want you to know that first and foremost we are a family rooted in our faith in God and our belief that the Bible is His word. While some of Phil's unfiltered comments to the reporter were coarse, his beliefs are grounded in the teachings of the Bible. Phil is a Godly man who follows what the Bible says are the greatest commandments: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart" and "Love your neighbor as yourself." Phil would never incite or encourage hate.We are disappointed that Phil has been placed on hiatus for expressing his faith, which is his constitutionally protected right. We have had a successful working relationship with A&E but, as a family, we cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm. We are in discussions with A&E to see what that means for the future of Duck Dynasty. Again, thank you for your continued support of our family. To which I have one thing to say. I sure feel even better now that I went and spent a few bucks buying their product last night. I'll sleep well, knowing I'll help them do the same. (2 comments) Comments >>
