...what happens when someone claims that they are a conservative by latching onto a party to make it easier to get themselves elected and the flushing of one's beliefs down the toilet for "party loyalty" does at the ballot box.

A "republican" who supported implementing aspects of Obamacare, not once, not twice, but three times here in Michigan.
A "republican" who is hell-bent on using the power of state government directly against a Michigan-based business.
A "republican" who supported unions by fighting against RTW here in Michigan (Does: "I don't want to see that on my desk" ring a bell?).
A "republican" who loves metrics and standards to base his decisions on, except when it comes to raising taxes in regards to transportation.
A "republican" who not only embraced and supported raising taxes on Working Michigan Residents, but balked at returning any surplus to the people who actually earned it.

With that said, I'll dread looking into my Magic 8-Ball to see what a President Romney has up his sleeve if elected?

What will you say to President Romney's amnesty program for illegal aliens?
After George Zimmerman's acquittal, what will you say to a President Romney who supports the Brady Bill again? Who admitted that his own views don't line up with the NRA? Gasp! What would Uncle Ted say about that?
What will you say about a President Romney who flip-flops (again) on yet another issue, this time expanding NCLB and by default supporting the Department of Education?

As I recall, Mr. Romney selected 9 (nine) Republican nominees out of 36 judicial appointments when he was governor. Would he be the kind of "severe" conservative president that would actually appoint rule-of-law judges, or, like our non-partisan governor picking his state treasurer, do his best to be pleasingly moderate? I don't see much to choose from in that department; one has to decide whether to believe what an aspiring politician says, or what their record shows.

Anybody who wants Obama-Lite-with-management-experience can go for it; I'm not going to send my vote to that dead end. With the current choices, I don't much care how the presidential race turns out - there are more worthwhile things to plan for. I'ts probably better to have four more years of Obama blocked by Congress than eight of the slower version with no opposition. One way or another, at SOME point the idiots in charge of the R's will learn to stop repeating 2008.
