On a serious note, I warned about this months ago, but look at the end result as a positive thing.

When only two Capitol Critters were recalled back in '83, even that had the desired effect on Lansing. No one got stupid for at least several years and used hiking taxes to solve their problems. That lesson had apparently been lost after Gov. Snyder hosted his kool aid kegger and got the Mi-GOP to go along with unneeded tax hike, after unneeded tax hike, after unneeded tax hike.

And just so everyone is picking this up on HD, not only were these votes totally unnecessary, but it ran counter to the Mi-GOP's own stated principles (see #4).

After Michigan republicans see Gov. Snyder leave their colleagues twisting in the wind after February recall votes (does anyone really believe that he'll do anything to save Rep. Scott's tail), the message that raising taxes is not the answer, just might sink in the this time.
