  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

They tell it like it is at the beauty shop or barbershop.

I went for a haircut on Saturday. My hairdresser Carmelita and I got to talking about health care and the decision now in the hands of the Supreme Court.

Do you have health insurance?" I asked.

    "No," she said softly.

    "Why not?"

"Are you kidding? It's just too expensive. No way can I afford it."

And the humor commences here.  (the picture alone is worth it)

I have to agree with the comments.  As Jenny ages she sure is looking like the males that Andrew Sullivan would be chasing around.

The Gift That Keeps Giving to the MDP

I cannot help but notice two corporations that must be cringing at their new Board Member, and if not they should be cringing at Dow Chemical and especially at Marinette Marine-Fincantieri, who as a then Governor Granholm, and her Democratic Party cronies boasted jobs created in Wisconsin, having also parlayed a nice after-Lansing income at Marinette Marine that today now attempts to play "witty" and ends up in the press. The Corporate Cringe.

"Another guy guv admits 2 cheating on his wife," Granholm posted on the social media site, using abbreviations that are often needed to fit messages into Twitter's 140-character limit. "Maybe we need more women governors. Guys: Keep ur pants zipped, for Pete's sake.

More women governors?  Is that so, Mrs. Granholm?  Perhaps a little trip back in the not so way-back machine.

Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm said she won't apologize to Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin for her crack at last weekend's Gridiron Dinner that the former Republican vice presidential candidate "really set back the cause of hot governors."

At the exclusive Washington dinner on Saturday, which was packed with top elected officials, Granholm also used the quip to needle Pennsylvania's governor. "You know where I'm coming from, Ed Rendell," she said.

Ah, I see.  So, it must then be just those Pro-Abortion EMILY's List type Progressive Soros funded women that former Governor Granholm associates with that she's referring to.  This also must go in observation of the very delusional Mrs. Granholms' narcissism with her self-comparison to what any possessing sight would consider pleasing to the eye.  "Hot governors", Mrs. Granholm?  You over Palin?  Seriously?

I make no apologies that when I'm within the earshot range of one merely mentioning the name Jennifer Granholm that THIS immediately comes to my mind.  It.  Never.  Fails.

    See you below.
