For good reason.

The president did not crack a smile as The good doctor presented a clear repudiation of all that Barack Obama stands for. Further, in only a few minutes, this distinguished pediatrician might well have unraveled years of the dumbing down that America has endured under this president and his backward policies.  Bill Johnson, a conservative writer from Detroit describes (former Detroiter) Dr. Carson's taking the president to the woodshed:

"Carson, sensing America needed an urgent wake-up call to the misadventures of its political leaders, began his presentation by explaining that, "pc (political correctness) is dangerous. "What we need to do is forget about unanimity of speech and unanimity of thought and concentrate on being respectful to those people with which we disagree."

.. set the stage for the former Detroiter to eloquently and boldly talk about the "spirituality, direction and future" of the nation. He proceeded to hang the proponents of victimization, guilt and despair out to dry.

.. Carson prefers a flat-income tax. "Some people say, `Well that's not fair because it doesn't hurt the guy who made $10 billion as much as the guy who made 10.' Where does it say you've got to hurt the guy? He just put a billion dollars in the pot."Carson said. "It's that kind of thinking that has resulted in 602 banks in the Cayman Islands. That money needs to be back here building our infrastructure and creating jobs."
