$361/sq ft?  I don't want to hear whining about tuition hikes ever again.

After receiving approval from the University of Michigan Board of Regents today, U-M is planning to purchase a .14-acre parcel near the Law Quad by the end of the month.

The $730,000 price tag is more than triple the property's assessed value.

...if the guv will don his green eyeshades, whip out that old Burroughs adding machine of his and deduct from their Lansing entitlement the difference between the assessed value and the price actually paid by U of M for that property?

This would be a great opportunity for the fiscal conservatives in the legislature to chime in.

    C'mon, guys!

You know who you are. Let's see some leadership for a change.
