Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

Another glimpse of what we can expect from the Snyder Administration.

    ~ Promoted for discussion ~

People were a little taken aback a few weeks ago when Gov-elect Snyder announced that he was tapping outgoing Speaker Andy Dillon to be the State Treasurer.

Why, after the fine, outstanding job that he did working to balance Michigan's Budget (Tax hike? What tax hike?), <sarcasm> he would be the obvious choice to lead Michigan out of the $1.6-billion hole it finds itself in </sarcasm> .

Then the Number 2 guy in the governor's office opens up his mouth.

    {Story continues below the fold}

Citing that he "will no longer remain silent," Michigan Lieutenant Governor-elect Calley had the following to say on the subject of Autism this week.

Hmmmmmm, saving the taxpayers money by having the government mandate something.

Now where have I heard that mantra before???

    Oh, yeah. Now I remember.

There was an interesting quote in a story that Steve from Motor City Times posted a while back that is very apropos here from one Andy Dillon:

"The role of government is to provide a great quality of life, educate our kids and keep us safe in our homes."

They say that you can better know someone, by watching the company they surround themselves with.

I'm beginning to discern a pattern here, and it's very troubling.

to note how if EVERYONE who had a personal crisis in their life legislated their neighbors and constituents into supporting solutions for THAT type of crisis, that we would be forever making sure no pain came to anyone.  Its quite an impossible task.

I find that troubling as well.

    Good post.

Just ask yourself WWAD? (What Would Arnold Do?) The Snyder administration will mirror the philosophy and decision making logic that Schwarzenegger executed in California. This would be all we can hope for until us as conservatives become stronger to bring candidates forward to hopefully primary out Mr. Snyder without Democrat interference, usurping bona fide Republican choice and expose him for who he is. But for now, buckle up, friends.

    Immigration? Why I'll respectufully... (none / 0) (#38)

...disagree.  Take a moment to watch Roy Beck from NumbersUSA.com

For a more in-depth look at our immigration problem that is unsustainable for us... the following video is for you.

It's rather simple... America has roll back its immigration figures to pre Teddy Kennedy and his liberal 1965 Hart-Celler Act that unrestricted chain migration.  In 1980 America adopted the Refugee Act bringing in 50,000 per year on top of our immigration.  Then, six years later, and probably Reagan's biggest f#@% up IMO, he signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act giving 3,000,000 illegal aliens that have been squatting here instant amnesty on top of the 500,000 - 600,000 immigrants per year.  Now comes along GHWB and he passes the 1990 Immigration Act that raised immigration to 700,000 per year and increased visas by 40%.

All that above does not even factor in temporary permits.  We average around 275,00+ for seasonal workers and 900,000+ for students per year.

Bottom line is that this nation is flat-ass broke-d!ck busted in debt and printing hundreds of billions of dollars with 42,000,000 of us on food stamps and an increasing 17.2% overall government dependency (I believe it's higher) and only 53% of the wage earners to pay for it all.

No!  All this Progressivism, Classical Liberalism, Open Borders, RINO Reagan Democrat, Herbert Walker Bush, McCain-Kennedy Amnesty bullsh!t has to stop.

Anything else only leads to more of this...

One salvation, one nation?  Give back California and Texas to Mexico?  Suuuuuure... as soon as Mexicans give back their turf to Spain.  Doing the work Americans won't?  Puh-leeze.  Move some of the generational poverty leeches off the gummint teat with mandatory drug testing if you want a check instead of handing it to them would change that age old barrio mantra.

Yannow, it was just two weeks ago we had another example of our immigration problem presented when a 13-year-old boy in California was told he couldn't ride his bike to school with the American Flag on it.

Cody Alicea was earlier told by Denair Middle School officials that he could not ride onto campus with a U.S. flag on his bike...

Officials at the school told Alicea not to display the flag, citing safety concerns. Some students had complained about the display.

Denair Unified School District Superintendent Edward Parraz said the campus recently experienced some racial tension. He said some students got out of hand on Cinco de Mayo. He said some students displayed the Mexican flag, while others displayed American flags.

So, American Flag = racism?  But...but...but what happened to all those American loving immigrants?  How about all those illegal aliens that love America more than we Americans do?  Yah, now I remember... Illegals are patriotic and enforcing laws is un-American.

And get ready for another 80,000 Muslims err, "refugees" Teh Won is gonna dumbo drop on our soil in 2011.  Yah, I know... Christmas tree lighting's must be as racist as American Flags are on kids bikes.

    15,000,000 unemployed?

15,000,000 unemployed will be the new reality.

meant to say "They are NOT committing crimes, collecting welfare..."

I'm sure there are some here who will take the original typo and make some issue out of it...
