Michigan Business Done Right - Our BEST Product?

There are many items on the shelf that I like to sell.  Some because they provide good value by performing well at a fair price.  Others because they give us little trouble and return numbers are very low.  Quality makes for happy customers, and a business that provides it will see those customers regularly.

In business, customer satisfaction is proportionate to the quality of product they receive.

In our business model however, the quality of the equipment is not singularly the reason for our success.  In fact, most of our business has been driven by something even deeper and meaningful.  Anyone could sell the same parts or gadgets.  In fact, some do, and sometimes at a discount price.  Our advantage simply put, is our knowledge of the product, its use, and what we consider to be unmatched customer service.

    Sometimes the people do matter.

This country has its share of characters.  People who have their own particular way of handling themselves, raising their families and finding their own way through life.  Its the "diversity" of thought, opinion, and sometimes even irreconcilable differences that has truly produced great works, innovative methods in manufacturing, and cultural anomalies that inspire envy the world over.

We have seen the tolerance between peoples from around the world, who have sought refuge in the United States but came to learn our language, and respect our values and live under our flag as one nation.  From the expatriate German who celebrates an unlikely St. Patricks day to the Polka loving Brit import, we have exchanged some of our most prized cultural memories with each other simply through interaction, a common language, and a respect for the protection our constitution affords us.

The very engine of our Republic has at its core, tradition..

As most would recognize, tradition carries forward the best, and sometimes unique qualities of our finest citizens.  It develops as the best way for the cultural survival of particular ethnic groups, and serves as a way for former rivals to meet at some commonalities.

Yet, we are as a nation blessed with both tradition, and burdened with sacrifice.  The soldiers we send off to defend our way of life in foreign lands often return broken, or not at all.  There are those who in the most sincere gratitude for their citizenship have paid the dearest price of admission.

Our military efforts overseas, though sometimes seemingly mismanaged from any particular administration, has always had the best product this country produces.  The men and women who fight in our stead for our values, the defense of our interests and promoting our goodwill by freeing others internationally, do so from within an environment of steeped traditions that molds them into the best product this nation could produce.  The history of our military carries with it both loss and victory, but most of all a sense of duty to country and honorable service.

    vetsday

Today, I would like to acknowledge those men and women.  Those heroes of our conscience who are our best emissaries in a world that has seemingly been mad since the beginning of time.  I thank our Veterans, our fighters, our deliverers of liberty.

They are our best product, and deserve our wishes for happiness on this Veteran's day and all others as well.

Perhaps everyone should take the time to know just one Veteran personally.

In a word, service. Thanks for bringing that out, J.

God bless our heroes, at home and abroad.

Lets plan now to send something for Christmas, even if it's just a box of candy and a letter expressing our thoughts and prayers.

    There's a really great web site, (none / 0) (#3)

marineparents.com which has happy, sad, and all kinds of info and message boards. One can find a lot of ways to support our troops and/or send a package, as well as give encouragement to the wounded.

It's an amazing place for family support when a member is in the armed forces.
