    was the proper one to make. There were a lot of Tea Partiers complaining that the Democrats were ignoring the "will of the people".  But ultimately, it's not Congress's job to vote according to the "will of the people".  We're not a democracy; we're a Republic, and while voting against your district may get you unelected the next November, it's not necessarily a bad thing (especially when the representative attempts to protect a minority point of view).

    I just think it'll be interesting to see how the Tea Partiers who complained about the Democrats ignoring their constituents' wills will react to people like Somerville and Horn who claim that they voted how their district wanted them to.
