    He would have to.

    He would be facing a Republican challenger in 2012 if he didn't.

    The can of worms comment is so that he doesn't have to make that choice.

    My point in the post, is that the legislature is doing by stealth, a WORSE thing than RTW.  The EFMs would have the ability to bust the unions in those distressed places wide open.  Given I have little trouble with THAT, I think it would be better to have it done by attrition and voluntary withdrawal, as well as seeing a renewed manufacturer base.
