Tag: rick snyder same sex marriage defense of marriage liberalBy michiganperspective, Section News
Rick Snyder is a liberal, liberal, liberal. Pro-choice and opposes the 2004 Defense of Marriage Amendment. And he opposed defense of marriage in his own words.
Jerry Zandstra: "What about gay marriage? Rick Snyder: I believe that marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman and thus oppose gay marriage. I also believe people have the right to enter into other types of agreements other than marriage." Right to arrange in agreements--including civil unions, the gateway to same-sex marriage. Rick Snyder would have opposed the Defense of Marriage amendment in 2004 (amendment language below). We have to stop this guy before he tries to buy the party. Snyder can't buy me. He can't buy you. But he obviously can buy the Yobs and Jerry Zandstra. Pro-choice, pro-same sex marriage. I'll take a conservative over Snyder. Article 1, section 25. To secure and preserve the benefits of marriage for our society and for future generations of children, the union of one man and one woman in marriage shall be the only agreement recognized as a marriage or similar union for any purpose.
