The ongoing bleat from the lunatic of many convictions, presented without further delay, the entrenched homophile Twitiot.
Former #Michigan Gov. William Milliken joins Gov. @OneToughNerd in condemning #RNC's Dave Agema record-eagle.com/opinion/x12212... #MIGOP #GOP #MIGov Some reminders of history, lest they be repeated, obviously need reflection:
1969-1982: William G. Milliken. Thirteen years in Office. Environmental extremist. Chummy chum chum's with perhaps the most corrupt Mayor of Detroit ever. But, it was smart of 'ol milquetoast Willy, that was his voting base. Kerry backer... Granholm backer... Obama backer... As Paul Ryan would say about Newt Gingrich, "With friends like him..." How this twaddling old tool still keeps calling himself a Republican is beyond disgusting. Helen Milliken a proud eugenicist? You betchya! Not supposed to mention such atrocities... Shhhhhhhhh! And, how can one forget...
Omitted: Made Jim Blanchard Look Appealing to Voters Now, wayward, petty, and pedantic child, you carry on with that polarizing the MI-GOP into obsolescence. I stand with Dave. By JGillman, Section News
NEVER be afraid to state your case. Know your mission, and do it well. - Reposted from MTTM because it needs attention.
- - - Clearly the Traverse City Record Eagle editors have "Gillman on the mind". Nearly a full month out from the last commission meeting attended, their editorial writers attack once more.
The Editorial: "Gillman's rant shows his true colors" begins as a few others do; laced with hate, and front loaded with hyperbole: "Former Grand Traverse County Commissioner Jason Gillman has always had an interesting take on public policy issues. Often factually wrong, or lacking perspective or just plain biased, but interesting." As if using the word "interesting" alongside their claims of factual incorrectness or my perceived personal shortcomings allows them to escape the obvious slight to character from the start. Certainly framing one as a crazy uncle, or blathering idiot, makes it easier to libel freely with barrels of ink in the following paragraphs. Is there, or not? As many here may know, Michigan is one of the bluest of blue states in the country. Historically, Right-To-Work has been talked about and immediately dismissed as improbable, if not impossible for Michigan, as it has been dominated by the political left, and a history of powerful unions. The most recent election changing the legislature, judiciary, and executive branch to Republican held institutions has given hope to some UAW union members who started a grass roots effort for right to work in Michigan. Given the new political make-up of Michigan's elected offices, it would appear that the time is nigh for such a move. The political nature of support and intimidation by unions in some cases, leads to a certain reticence amongst legislators who might otherwise be seen as an automatic yea vote on such issues. To offer support for those who might not be as comfortable taking a stand, it was thought that perhaps support from the local populations through the local governments would be helpful. A resolution was drawn up and brought before the county commission in Grand Traverse County first on July 6th and then for a final vote on July 27th. continued below (967 words in story) Full Story By JGillman, Section News
The record eagle wears its own tolerance of free speech and disagreement like the dirty underpants of a failed drunken ship's captain.
The editorial today equating the birthers to racists crosses the line from responsible editorial opinion to unoriginal baiting and an attempt to stifle discussion. In its editorial "parsing the subtext of the racist birther conspiracy" Traverse City Record Eagle editorial staff has again used the "R" word to label those who hold a differing view from their own. The paper has called those who questioned the effort of Obama to hide his birth certificate for the last three years, outright racists.
The editorial starts off: It's time to recognize the "birther" conspiracy wingnuts for what they are. The start of this editorial is mild compared to the continuing ignorant vitriol designed to merely stifle free speech and offer an extreme leftist worldview of conservatives and those who's only crime is to want to verify that the man who was elected president in 2008 is actually legal to occupy that office. Continuing: The birthers ... just can't stand the fact that a man born to a white mother and a black father could ever succeed ...After all black people - even those of mixed race - are lazy and dumb, goes the real birther subtext. Absolutely incredible. ~ more below ~ (23 comments, 911 words in story) Full Story |
