The campus indoctrinated from CMU opines further.
Take Jon Huntsman: the governor of Utah for more than four and a half years. Huntsman also served stints as the U.S. Ambassador to Singapore and China in the early 1990s and late 2000s, respectively. Besides being fluent in Mandarin, his governorship saw the highest contemporaneous job growth rate in the country. The man was electable. Never won a state in the primary. Drops out with placing 3rd in New Hampshire. Not even a noteworthy stalking horse candidate.

One cannot turn on the news it seems without wondering how the reality shows that have captivated so many over the years escaped the television and made it to one of the most important events we patronize.
Each political event happening daily, further embellished by speculation or commentary of the trained pundits of pop culture. Each misstep of the character of the day amplified by the 24 hour news cycle stacking opinion for a better view of the tragedy that is sometimes humanity. Not in that we fail, but rather that we titillate and secret our joy about the failures that bring about a new player in the game of the day. Somehow our darkened souls must find comfort in the perpetual failings that only a well oiled machinery of media attention can accentuate. We have reached the bottom. I do not intend to remain at there however. I will not sit idly by while the character of good folk continues to be sacrificed to create the drama for next week's lust for tragedy. I ask each of you to consider what happens if the Marxist in the white house is allowed to desecrate our great country beyond 2012. Between his utter disregard for the Congress, our constitution, or private property, a term fully hardened by a "mandate" of a win, would mean the end of the US as we know it. Go below. Divisiveness? Supports Obamacare? Slightly higher-speed rail and bridge Federal Tax money boondoggles? A McCain Yobbite republican? Democratic Party support? It's all in there...

What's up boys and girls?
On the strength of his accomplishments in Utah, Governor Jon Huntsman is one of the GOP's real up-and-comers. He's been touring early and key battleground states discussing the current recession, his passion for providing the very best for our kids via expanded parental choice in education and the future of the Republican Party. He spent Friday and Saturday in Michigan on the Lincoln Day Dinner circuit and was at the beautiful new JW Marriott in downtown Grand Rapids this AM for a breakfast event. I caught up with him there and he was generous enough to spend a few minutes speaking with Team RightMichigan.
