Representative Kerry Bentivolio smelled a rat I believe.
He write in an email blast last evening: "You can expect major legislation to be voted on this week. Its not far from what is really going on. Apparently, there is a procedural move which has been used before to fool the noobs in the political arena, and provide cover for the enablers otherwise; Fund, Defund, and pretend. From Brieitbart:"The source added that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is "shopping an idea of passing defund through the House with the CR, but with a mechanism that would allow it to be decoupled in the Senate, defeated, and then the base CR be passed without coming back to the House."Huh. Whats up with THAT, Michigan Republican congress critters? (3 comments) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
Its me .. Dave, .. I got the stuff ..
"The stuff", being empty discourse and meaningless indignation at the IRS targeting the tea party. From behind the door, the five term congressman and chair of the Ways and Means committee is trying to get in. He should know the door remains closed, and any voter with a remaining functional synapse will be ignoring the pounding for attention. Camp's office responded to an Examiner article that described continuing IRS abuse of power with "Congress may be out of session but we're continuing to keep the heat on the Internal Revenue Service. I wanted to make sure you saw the Washington Examiner article below for the most recent update. It is outrageous that IRS management continues to target Tea Party cases without any justification. "Ahem. .. IT'S OUTRAGEOUS! Yeah get the ol tea folk worked up so you can abandon them again. Go to another dozen 912, Tea, patriot type meetings and tell them some more stories of how you will solve the current set of problems, and if necessary DEFUND the departments causing them: " You didn't challenge the health care bill's constitutionality in 2010 when it was being debated did you Dave Camp? How about you Fred Upton? No. I guess not. And even after PLEDGING to affirm constitutionality for each bill passed in the house, it only took 7 months to lose that pledge in the bottom of the briefcase. Not forgetting those promises Dave. We have NINE potential statesmen, but will be lucky if we pull out TWO in the end.
Michigan Congressmen need to pay attention. Its all over for Republicans if Obamacare is allowed to continue. Understand this. The two senators in these videos are worthy of emulation.
You have one last chance Reps Candace Miller, Dave Camp, Bill Huizinga, Justin Amash, Kerry Bentivolio, Mike Rogers, Dan Benishek, Tim Walberg, Fred Upton. (2 comments) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
I have seen Mitch McConnell 'spine-up' before, but this advertisement encouraging Republicans in KY to put pressure on the Minority leader drives home an important point.
The 'nuclear option' is at hand. Surrender is not an option, and any funding for Obamacare is an endorsement of it. Any federal overreach such as this MUST be pushed back by our representatives in whatever way available. If the last resort is a shutdown of an extra-constitutional government so-be-it. No Republican principles are served in the absence of courage. Kentucky voters are rightfully advised to talk to their US Senator who will be up for his seat next year.
And THESE Guys need to hear from you as well. Dan Benishek 1st District Bill Huizenga 2nd District Justin Amash 3rd District Dave Camp 4th District Fred Upton 6th District Tim Walberg 7th District Mike Rogers 8th District Candice Miller 10th District Kerry Bentivolio 11th District

We KNOW the Democrats have abandoned any allegiance to the constitution, but its truly disturbing how 'our side' has characters that would so willingly disregard the TRUE rule of law. A chance to end the federal "prevailing wage" rule for federal contractors gone.
Americans for Limited Government President Nathan Mehrens today issued the following statement blasting 36 House Republicans for defeating an amendment to an appropriations bill that would have repealed the 82-year old Davis-Bacon prevailing wages mandate for federal contractors: "Prevailing wages demand that the U.S. Department of Labor set the cost for labor for federal government construction contractors rather than having the taxpayers get the benefit of competitive labor cost bidding. The impact of Davis-Bacon on increasing the cost of government has been so extreme that the 2012 Republican National Committee's official platform called for its repeal. As long as the RINO infestation continues.

The vote to repeal Obamacare like the original vote was decided along party lines sans two Dems who acknowledge the catastrophe their party has wrought.
All of Michigan's Republicans stepped up to the plate to 'repeal' the 'affordable' health care act, with a couple of them making sure you know they did. It marks the third time the House has voted to fully repeal this law since 2011. Rep Tim Walberg (R-CD7) voted in favor of H.R. 45 to repeal the President's health care law, and said the following: "The reality of Obamacare is millions of Americans losing access to their current health care coverage, job destroying tax hikes and mandates, and massive health insurance premium increases. This government takeover of health care will hurt families, hurt small businesses, hurt retirees, and hurt Americans seeking to find work in our tough economy, so I voted today to repeal it. I support common sense, patient-centered solutions such as ending lawsuit abuse, expanding the flexibility of medical savings accounts, and allowing the purchase of insurance across state lines, that will truly make health care more affordable and help families."And he wasn't the only one. Fred Upton (R-CD6) heads the Energy and Commerce committee, which uses the platform to examine the costs of Obamacare (and actually uses THAT Name for it, which I find inappropriate and strange)as reported by insurers. Candace Miller (R-CD10) referencing previous appropriations efforts alongside the repeal vote says: "There is nothing more personal to each and every American than their health care and their relationship with their doctor. And no issue is more important to each and every American than having a growing economy and job security. Today the House acted for the 37th time to repeal ObamaCare because it puts at risk the doctor-patient relationship and it will destroy jobs and put countless others at risk. And Dave Camp (R-CD4) listed a few reasons a couple days ago why repeal is a good plan.

Bozell: GOP Talks to Exempt Lawmakers and Staff From ObamaCare "Ultimate Hypocrisy"
Today 'ForAmerica' Chairman L. Brent Bozell III released a statement regarding reports that Republican leadership in Congress is in secret negotiations to exempt themselves and their staffs from ObamaCare. "Recent news reports reveal that the Republican leadership in Congress is participating in the ultimate hypocrisy: months of secret meetings with Democrats to betray the most important promise they made to their supporters in 2010. Rather than forcing repeal of ObamaCare, they are discussing exempting themselves and their staffs from it. This is what Third World dictators and tyrannical kings do - they create mandates for the supposed `good' of the peasants, while exempting themselves from the burdens of their whims. Our message is clear: stop these secret meetings immediately and get to work defunding and repealing ObamaCare so everyone, not just you and your staff, can be freed from its burdens."Been on THIS before. Back in 2010 Dave Camp PROMISED to defund as a mission of last resort, the Obamacare act that inappropriately bears the name "affordable". If I am not mistaken, we are at the last resort stage now. Hello, is this thing on? We should remind our legislators that their words of promise have become meaningless, and the line between those whom we would call 'Republican' to the evil that is progressivism, is truly blurred. Know which side you are on or get the hell out of the way. (1 comment) Comments >>
